I did. That comment made me wince and I also thought of the expected response from Codename.

I don't need to say anything. I think Gossage and ed carpenter are probably the only 2 who think that way.

Gossage would be happy killing a couple of drivers per race if it increased ticket sales. We learnt that in 2001.

No endplates at all... now that's genuinely novel - has that been done in *any* category recently?

I think both new front wings are a massive improvement on the original ones, aesthetically speaking. The mildly comic book styling of these cars has grown on me.

No end plates, no winglets, just three profiles that turns a round 90 degree turn down. Clean and cool. I love it!

Looks like they have restricted them to three elements and no stupid extras. Imagine F1 doing the same*.

* Yes, I know they did exactly this with rear wings...

Hearing Oriol Servia could be racing a few more races for RLLR later this year if funding is found

NBC Sports has changed the broadcast channel for the Texas race, will be on NBCSN now instead of CNBC
(according to tv listings and IndyCar)

It frankly amazes me that there are people out there who seem to think pack racing was fine, no more dangerous than normal oval racing & didn't help create situations where drivers got injured/killed.

Reading some of the nonsense on trackforum seemingly calling for the pack racing at Texas to return & there in cases blind ignorance to the additional risks with pack racing in open wheel cars is a little worrying:
http://www.trackforum.com/forums/showth ... acing-quot

Coming back to Texas I still think the only problem with the racing there last year was the tyres wearing too quickly. You got a few laps of good racing when everyone was on new tyres & then when the tyres started falling off everyone went single file. Have more durable tyres like they had there in 2012/2013 & the racing will be better than it was a year ago.

If they can recreate the racing of Indy on other ovals that would be perfect. I enjoyed the pack racing back in the day but after several nasty crashes I don't want to see it return.

The straights aren't long enough at Texas to recreate Indy style racing, if they pack too much down force on it'll just be back to pack racing, only place they could possibly try to recreate it is Pocono.

They admitted they screwed up the aero package for last year. If they go back to the 2013 aero levels with the tires that wear out it'll be fine.

oh the irony if another ex-F1 driver does Lights this year, then that series would have more F1 experience than Indycar! lol
