in the past I was anxious about the season the start, everything starting all over again. now I'm like "damn, this is my last weekend and now is all over again"

at least the track for the kickoff is Albert Park, otherwise it would be meh

I think it's more to do with Android not being as secure as it could be.
I saw someone post somewhere recently that it was because of how many different types of android devices there are out there of varying specs which means some extra coding has to be done to try & ensure an app works on as many devices as possible & Sky just can't be bothered to do that (Not as if its customers don't pay them enough).

With an ipad while there's the different revisions & firmware the basic architecture is apparently more or less the same so you just need to create the app & it will work on all of them without additional coding been required.

Not sure if that is the case but I've had android app's before which either don't work at all or work very badly on my old HTC desire but which run perfectly on other devices. The official F1 app been one of them, Just won't run on my HTC Desire so i've been using it via a free piece of PC software called Bluestacks which runs android apps pretty well.

no BBC season preview this weekend?
---

although I don't have 'warm' memories of the 2002 season, the opening race was very intriguing to watch back in the day.

Opening race next week? Time to check if the usual channels will still air them this year.

La Deux fortunately.

There will be a day when they realize it is becoming too expensive. But this year we're still good then.

Any news regarding Sky Italy Ferrari Onboard channel for the 2015 F1 season?
I thought it was closed at the end of 2013 F1 season. But I found on youtube some shots from this channel for 2014 Spain GP like Kimi quali laps in Q1 and Q2:

Pat Symonds takes the flamethrower to Ron (last question).

LOL That's the same Pat Symonds that resorted to cheating (along with Flabio and Fred) in order to win the 2008 Singapore GP? I like the fact that he's helping steer the Williams turnaround, but people in glass houses and all that...

vd Garde's case is going on right now. From whats coming online it kinda seems that Sauber is clutching straws. Claims he didn't hold an FIA license which his team could hand to the judge.
Seat fitting would take 3 weeks but Giedo once did it in 3 days.
Also claims he could get hurt or even killed. Yeah that's the general risk of racing....

The car was also specifically build for their current drivers. Doubtful as the seat goes to the highest bidder and they got signed well after the initial design.

Good feed of the trial

interesting read: http://adamcooperf1.com/2015/03/09/saub ... rde-races/

I think Giedo will win the case but not get the seat and Sauber will be forced to pay him.

You would have thought someone like Kaltenborn, with a law degree, would have made better decisions on these kind of matters.

I think its being naive. Breach of contract isn't something new in F1. The Dutch have had experience with it with Jos Verstappen and Arrows but there are other situations as well.

I just think Kaltenborn never thought vd Garde would actually take the time and money to take them to court as basically no-one did in the end.

I'm worried however Sauber will end up like Arrows.

The ideal situation is that the judge agrees with vd Garde (setting a precedent) but its not ideal for him to actually race because that would mean Sauber has to breach another contract. Also that Sauber cannot repay him in money but they are forced to place the names of the sponsors prominently on the car and they (Sauber) cannot claim breach of contract if vd Garde would find another seat in F1 for 2015. Even if he signs a deal 5 minutes later with Manor. If he doesn't find a seat and one of their current drivers fails to pay, they must take him however over anyone else.

Ruling they must run vd Garde means either Nasr or Ericsson will sue (and win). Forcing Sauber to pay vd Garde or Nasr or Ericsson after another lawsuit would mean the team goes bust.
no-one can really win this one I'm afraid.
