Regan Smith in the 41 on Sunday. Not a big surprise, but I think it'll be interesting to see who gets the permanent nod for that seat.

Be cool to see Cole Custer get a shot at New Hampshire.

In other news, there was a fight tonight at New Smyrna involving some crew members in the Pro Late Model field, tape delay broadcast on FansChoice should be starting now.

Isn't he still 17? And for the whole season?

Why did NASCAR wait till the last minute to suspend Kurt? Did something definitive happen with the court case or are they just trolling him by letting him compete in every part of speedweeks except the main event?

Family court reached an indictment, which forced NASCAR's hand.

Apparently, Driscoll was there at the track. Thanks to the restraining order, Kurt must leave the track.

Quite frankly, I find the timing interesting.

That's a bit screwed up, cos by what you said, even if NASCAR hadn't knee jerked their reaction, all this crazy bitch has to do is turn up to wherever Kurt is and he has to leave right? That is nuts, even restraining orders here have conditions that work both ways to stop that kind of abuse.

I don't like Kurt one bit, but you have to feel sorry for the guy, he hasn't even been charged, let alone convicted of a crime in a criminal court yet everybody is treating him like he murdered someone.

Yeah, this is actually a civil matter. Civil cases are more subjective than criminal. In a civil case, you have to show belief that someone may do wrong on another. Criminal, you have to prove without a reasonable doubt that there is a crime committed.

But I guess civil and criminal cases are one and the same. God bless the USA.

Civil - balance of probilities.
Criminal - strict proof beyond reasonable doubt.

There's a massive difference between the two but as you say the Court of Pubic Opinion doesn't seem to realise theer's a difference.

Kurt's legal team, if they were worth their salts, could quiet easily argue Kurt can no longer expect to have a fair trial after all this, plus sue NASCAR into oblivion to boot lol. NASCAR should have grown a pair and said we will take action once Mr Busch is convicted of a criminal offence, until then it's up to him and his team to decide on which course of action is best.

That much, I agree. Problem is, thanks to Roger Goodell's handling of the Ray Rice incident, NASCAR can't afford bad PR...their reputation is already poor as it is.

The timing just fuckin sucks for him. 2 days before the biggest race of the year. She clearly is out to destroy him and she's succeeding. A lot doesn't add up. The lady has been doing talk show rounds. Who the Fuck does that??

And on a personal note, Kurts my favorite driver, has been since Rusty retired. I've been pumped for the 500 all off season. I'm throwing a Daytona 500 party... And now my driver isn't racing. Fuck you NASCAR, fuck you Patricia Driscoll, fuck you NFL, fuck you Rodger Goodell.

Tommy and Chris have the right of this.

The NFL's haphazzard handling of the Ray Rice mess and the subsequent other allegations against their players have forced other pro sports into this same corner. If allegations arise of misconduct/domestic violence, the precedent of what to do has all ready been set. If they don't act accordingly the talking heads of the media will lambaste them and public opinion will go right along with it.

This whole thing is fucked up. Not just this case, the entire way these things are viewed by people is ass backwards.

So let me get this straight NASCAR, you'll let a cheating team keep a win because you don't want to disappoint their fans... But you kick a guy out of the sport over allegations and disappoint their fans.

High five NASCAR

Personally, I'm glad how the NHL handled what is happening with Slava Voynov and his messy domestic violence situation. Just suspend the guy indefinitely until this blows over. NASCAR should have done the same thing with Kurt Busch to begin with, but I don't see Voynov's wife going around and seemingly brag about it. Both sides kept it as private as possible. Clearly different than the Busch-Driscoll one.

Yea honestly they should have made this announcement before they even got to Daytona...why make Kurt go all the way to Thursday before dropping the already suspected news??? That's the only fuck up I see. Sounds like Kurt def went into melt down mode on Patricia, who knows how many times. Don't go abusing your partner, and they won't be out to ruin your career.

I agree but the problem is that we still don't know if he did. It was only a court commissioner saying he believes there's a greater than 50% chance that Kurt did. Then you have her doing media rounds and throwing allegations out there that other NASCAR personnel are abusing women.

Just fucked up all around.

Definitely a guilty until proven innocent situation going on here. Patricia has no reason to show up at the race track...no one's going to want to talk to her except the media...anyways, need to lift the mood...

I'm just gonna leave this here.
