Bob Fernley is saying that information Manor sent to the strategy group yesterday was inadequate, Graeme Lowdon is saying that Manor didn't send any information to the strategy group yesterday because they were not asked to.

Isn't that a job for FOM and FIA though?

Are there any other sports where the competitors get such a big say in the way the sport is run? I think the complete lack of distance between the teams and the governing body is half the problem here.

Someone suggested that a Balestre was needed a few pages back. Hate to say it, but I think even a Mosley could clear things up better than Todt.

Maybe a better franchise to use would be the first Star Wars movies vs. the "prequels". If only for asking who is Formula 1's Jar Jar Binks. :p

So am I right in saying that Manor can miss three races, and still be eligible to participate for the rest of the year and gain access to their prize money? If so, epic face palm to the FIA and FI.

The whole kerfuffle over the technicalities of the application is one of the governance of the sport, and that surely lays at the feet of the FIA and only illustrates what we have been saying about the ineptness of Jean Todt's presidency.

I feel that after reading Manors latest statement, they're now a 75% to participate this year. So this now brings up the question about drivers? Who could get a drive? Will Stevens perhaps?

If the smart money is right, it'll be Jordan King.

Sauber uses (new) drivers' money to pay its (old) debts

http://grandepremio.uol.com.br/f1/notic ... e-material

- All of (or at least great part of) Ericsson's, Nasr's and FIA's payments used for previous debts;

- C34 is severely underdeveloped;

- At some point, the C34 production had to be interrupted due to lack of materials;

- Drivers' money combined: EUR 40 millions;

- FIA prize money: EUR 10 millions;

- Ferrari used Sauber's windtunnel in order to sweet the engine debt. The Italian team keeps supplying PUs despite of their late payments;

- Sauber didn't have money to redevelop front aero in 2014, this being indicated by the technical team as one of the three major problems: Ferrari PU, car overweight and front aero (the nose, to be more specific);

- Inside the team the talking is realistic: C34 will be the worst car of the 2015 season;

So sad as it's my favourite team and possibly even out of F1 in a not far away future. The only good thing, to me, is that the pay drivers Ericsson and Nasr will be screwed. Livery is said to change to blue and yellow, btw.

I wonder what livery Mclaren will use this year if they don't get a major sponsor until Melbourne?! Hopefully, there is still chance for a non red-white

f1 must rethink itself. It's true, they're competing against each others. But in normal world if your opponent is in trouble it's good for you cause you can steal his market. But if a team is in trobule it's bad for everybody cause there's hardly someone that can substitute them and if the number of competitors drop the show become boring, look at Motogp, nowdays they suck.

What? MotoGP has recovered remarkably these past few years. That's thanks to FIM sticking two fingers up at the manufacturers and reinventing the series thanks to the machinations of the Open class. MotoGP has gone from 15-18 bikes, all Honda, Yamaha or Ducati and manufacturer supported in some way to having 25-30 bikes with new teams and manufacturers entering. F1 could learn from what FIM did.

If you think MotoGP sucks because no-one can compete with Marquez, then you're a little short sighted.

It will need to go down to a big misery in order to a real change take effect.
