^ They were bound to do something since it was being talked about at this years race. The speeds through there are very fast with minimal margin for error. Obviously that's why we love those corners so at least they're not changing the design of the track, just the runoffs. If they paint this new bitumen the same blue/yellow other run off areas are painted then honestly you probably won't even notice the difference too much.

WEC has weirdly scheduled a press conference at Detroit Auto Show. I don't understand why Ford would do their announcement via WEC's own event (and the most recent Ford rumor story said they would only now reveal the road car, not racing plans) so this might be something circuit related. Montreal 2017 pls.

Bit offtopic since it is just fantasy, but Mazda made this car for GT6. Thought we could drool about the thought of seeing that car one day on the circuit (I know just fantasy, and not in line with P1 rules).

Cheap gamer glory grab. GT is probably part reason why 787B is so over-glorified car to begin with.

Furai was at least a real physical car that didn't materialize into any kind of P1 ambitions, so...

So Ford announced new GT (viewtopic.php?p=826168#p826168) at Detroit Auto Show. No talk of racing, but WEC (yes, specifically WEC) has reserved a press conference at the show for tomorrow. It's got to be GTE program or another North American race.

Is the Ferrari to LMP1 announcement finally happening 7 months too late? :p

You watch it'll be announcing a 3 year extension to the cota race instead ;)

Possible but is that even really that sort of news you announce at one of the most important car shows?
