Would not put that past him, what ever his mental capacity might be. Wouldn't be surprised if he proposed that 15 years ago.

Is it just me or does he seem even more greedy and seemingly motivated by the $$ this year compared to other years? I know he always has been, but this year he just seems soo much more publicly visible in his greed.

The sad thing is Bernie will likely die not too far in the future, and be replaced by someone who runs the business exactly the same way but isn't nearly as quote-worthy.

The idea of cutting media passes or restricting them to actual journalists I actually agree with. I've had passes I have no right to get due to part owning a website that takes fuck all work. Any of us can do it - every single person on this forum has the ability to do it. F1 is a little harder but it's not THAT hard to do it.

Give them to people actually doing the work and creating exposure. A lot of these people are there because they're a fan and manipulated the system. Not that I'm criticizing them for doing it, because I've done it too.

I don't disagree, but I'd rather see passionate fans able to obtain a media pass rather than the celebrities who have no interest in the sport but still end up on the grid.

US Grand Prix comes to mind.

Let's cut away from track action to a celebrity that is not watching the race from the pits, but is having something to eat in the VIP room, showing that he just couldn't care less.

It's completely genuine - there's a 'making of' video with extra camera angles including one in the truck.

Why do you hope it isn't, though? It wouldn't have cost a horrendous amount, and the sponsor probably would have funded most of it anyway.

I was searching about Toto Wolff and found this interesting article about the billionaires in F1:

Am I the only one who thinks this was a bit dumb?
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/116893

Yes Caterham is a mess & the car is crap, But surely getting some F1 experience & potentially showing that you can do a competent job (As Will Stevens has so far this weekend) is better than having no F1 race opportunity at all?

Palmer Jnr, like Snr, believes he's something far more special than in reality he is.

Will be funny when that turns out to have been his only F1 chance.

"Michael Schumacher rejected F1 race chance from Jordan"
"Fernando Alonso rejected F1 race chance for Minardi"
"Kimi Raikkonen rejected F1 race chance for Sauber"
"Sebastian Vettel rejected F1 race chance for BMW Sauber"
Different situation, but who knows what he could have done.

I wouldn't put Palmer in the same bracket as any of those names.

In reality it's more like...

"Gaston Mazzacane rejected F1 race chance for Minardi"
