I think if they were racing laptimes would be 2/3 seconds off dry, max

NASCAR basically has no confidence in it's drivers not to show restraint through the wet section.

Well. To be fair, I have no confidence in NASCAR drivers navigating through a perfect section of track for more than 5 laps without a ridiculous accident. I don't feel that precipitation would have a big effect on the quality of the driving in this case.

At least the clusterfuck insane accident will take place under slightly slower speeds in the damp conditions, so is technically safer.
LET EM RACE :p

race will run for 2 laps until it pisses it down and they red flag it for 3 hours to change tyres

Dale Jr is reel racin' too, calling on Goodyear to make more Intermediate tyres and responding to questions from fans about how they should be racing and how rain racing (which he's experienced in the Daytona 24) is fun as hell ;)

Prepare to double your frustration, there's still rain in the air and they haven't got the 1 to go yet...

Let's name all the things NASCAR knows how to do.

Alright that killed some time now I need a new topic.

1 to go?

....until the next red flag?

The real reason for all this mess is the start marshal has blatantly lost his green flag and has been running round trying to find it, tbh.

Looking forward to hopefully 1 to 3 corners of green flag racing!
