Nico masked his qualifying 'mistake' absolutely brilliantly. The way he got into Lewis' head this weekend was an incredible response after the last few races and it really showed the cracks in Lewis' mental state when things don't go his way. He may have the raw speed but imo Nico has found a big weakness that he's likely sharp enough to exploit to his advantage.

Oh man, I hope so. You can just imagine some suspiciously loud music coming from Nico's apartment...

Just said on Sky that Lewis was complaining before qualifying that Nico kicking a football (Something he's always done before getting in the car) was distracting his concentration.

Funny how fast the friendship of the two went obsolete in a month.

I never thought that Nico would play mind-games, judging by his previous media personality. But for me it seems that he's a damn mastermind if all of this weekend was intended. The duel of Lewis and Nico might become epic.

What is this "If the team called Lewis in the lap before" thing? If they did that then they'd have also done it for Rosberg, so he'd still be behind? Where are people getting this idea that that decision made a difference?

From Lewis himself - he said in his post race interview that he complained about it because he felt it would have given him a slight chance of being in front.

The idea being that Lewis felt the team should have let him come in when Nico was told to stay out.

But that's....mental. If the team felt that the SC was going to come out (which is why they keep talking about 1 lap earlier, because of Sutils accident) then they'd have pitted Rosberg too. The idea of pitting earlier only works when it's not your team mate.

He can say it in as many interviews as he wants, but that's just making bullshit excuses frankly. If the team felt there was an advantage pitting a lap earlier, then they'd have pitted Rosberg too. Rosberg was ahead on track. He gets priority.

In a twisted world of F1 politics the unwritten rule of leading car on track getting pitstop priority is actually one of the few I agree with (that's of course if there's no TO to imply). Lewis should focus on Montreal and stop fighting the lost battle.

Bit of an odd comment for Lewis to make especially right now. :o

Yeah, his pit stop moaning makes no sense at all. He was behind, so why on earth should he get pit preference? What team has ever given it to the driver behind?

Sky getting things slightly wrong there - Lewis was saying he'd have been pitted after the crash, but before the safety car.

I'm sure someone will point out to him how many wins he would have chalked up in the last 18 months if he was still in a McLaren ;)

That comment of Lewis reminds me of Montoya's reaction during and after the 2003 French GP, which lead to Montoya signing for McLaren.

Stoked for John Booth and the Manor Motorsport organisation.

And if there's repercussions against Magnussen for the incident with Kimi, Ericsson could be promoted to 10th.

Why would Magnussen get any penalty for that? That incident was all Kimi.

Yeaa, if any penalty comes of that it'll be for Kimi.
