If the yellow didn't happen and Nico still got pole then this would be a nothing issue. But the yellow flag created by Nico contrived to create this result.

What I mean is that Q3 (until the yellow flag) was man on man and Rosberg came out on top, so you can't really say that Lewis is always in front of Rosberg in such situations.

I'm not sure where you reading that I said that? Because I didn't.

Sauber are a fucking mess. Hopefully they toss Sutil and get Frijns in the car.

Good news from this is how quickly Ricciardo caught them, only 10 sec back and he would have lost a lot of time stuck behind Lewis too, seemed quicker than the mercs over the last 10 laps or so. Might play into their hands if there is a race which requires the cars to go very long into a stint in future.

Well both the Merc drivers have gotten their moments of unsportsmanlike conduct in this weekend so as a neutral bystander I hope this degrades their relationship and increases the infighting even more from now on :D

Frijns is now at Caterham. Sauber's pecking order is GvdG, Simona and Sirotkin. Any 2 of which could probably do a better job.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

But anyway, even if Lewis is a tick above Nico in terms of pure pace, after this weekend surely Rosberg has the points and mental advantage.

Shameful attitude Hamilton is showing. He may be a great race driver and uberfast when needed, but he is doing everything to be a total douche.

Man v man means the other four races when neither were affected by any outside influences. I'm not sure why you're choosing to ignore my overall point which is very explicit and then taking parts out of context.

I also said this previously...

Just watching Toto Wolf's interview on Sky and I kinda got the vibe that they might not be all that happy with Lewis's reactions. Just the feeling I got.

NBCSN's interviewer thinking that Ericsson would get point with Bianchi penalty. But he's wrong.

Problem with Hamilton is that he does tend to be high maintenance.

All Hamilton has is a whole bunch of ifs. If Rosberg hadn't caused the yellow. If he'd managed to go quicker on his last lap. If the team had called him in earlier. If he'd not got something in his eye. Just like Rosberg only had ifs after Bahrain and Spain - if he'd made a move stick, if he'd managed to get pole, if he'd used the same engine setting as Lewis.

Rosberg's incident in qualifying was not on purpose, but from the moment he got out of the car after it he turned the psychological screw on Lewis and sure enough, his mindset and mood went to pieces like cheese in a microwave. He can't let Rosberg do that to him or he's going to have real problems.

Oh, and a big congrats to my local team Marussia on their first points. Excellent stuff.

Agreed with all of this MaTT. But Vettel, Alonso and Schumi are / were the same. They are fine with things they can control but the ifs that they feel cost them (even IF they don't...) make them extremely unhappy and they then behave like children.

Hamilton still got a great result today and he should simply appreciate that and move on to the next. But considering the if revolves around his team mate, he can't and seemingly won't.

Oh yes, certainly - Lewis has that kind of attitude Senna, Schumacher and the like had. It's one that's very easy for me to sit in my armchair and criticise, but he's the one having to deal with the pressures of a title battle not me.

Problem for Lewis here is that he's got a team mate who can really play on this. Rosberg is incredibly astute not just in his driving but the way he acts I think.

Totally agree MaTT. Only a couple of people have noticed and pointed out that after yesterday's quali incident Rosberg really played up his delight and happiness instead of showing some form of embarrassment or acknowledgement (other than the obvious "I didn't mean to do it"). None of this means Nico didn't / doesn't deserve the pole and win but it also doesn't mean Lewis is a whiny little bitch. He's allowed to be unhappy for having "ifs" that are out of his control.
