They'll shove it in the back of a Transit and blast down from Calais. But it'd be pretty good if they were ready for Wednesday.

Ferrari still wins in its looks. Hopefully it becomes a winning project so all other teams stop these noses and see they're shitty and you have alternatives for that in wind tunnels.

Getting a bit pissed off with people whining about the FIA. They have 1 thing and 1 thing only on their mind, safety. They've done well as we haven't had a driver fatality for close to 20 years. They write the rules but it's how the teams interpret them that makes the cars ugly.

I'd rather see ugly safe cars than beautiful looking death traps.

That sounds like the statement of a politician. It only focuses on one aspect and leaves out the rest. You can still have safe cars that aren't actually causing eye cancer. The way they wrote the rules is just plain stupid. Mercedes warned them last year and asked them to rewrite the passage about the nose in such a way that it wouldn't cause there abnormalities but they wouldn't.

Or there's the 3rd option, where the guys in charge of safety actually look at what the guys interested only in speed will do with their new rules, and add that extra rule in so we have a field of safe cars that aren't crowned by dildos.

Exactly. Adrian Newey also said he wished the framers of the rules had some ideas about framing the rules with some aesthetics in mind.

So I took this video just over a week ago with a drive by of two 1985 turbo Ferrari's and then a 1994 V12 Ferrari, not sure if we can expect the same noise difference

I think they will sound similar. Something you don't get from the video is how loud those v6s actually are. They didn't make your ears hurt like that v12 but you could really feel it through your body. I don't think anyone who hears the new engines at a grand prix will be disappointed.

What do you mean with "dissapointed"??
Going from V8 to lower isnt an improvement specially for F1 wich is the king of open wheel racing. Its supposed to be faster, harder, more HP. But looks like GP2 will take that place one day the way F1 is heading now..
If you have a BMW M5 that has 4.0 V8 engine and someone wants to give you the same car with 4 cylinders and 1.5 l engine.
Would you take it? I think not cuz it would sound like a Fiat Panda, and that means crap!

If the 1.5 was a turbo with (almost) equal or better performance but better fuel economy, I'd take the 1.5.
And if someone wanted to give me an Abarth Punto I'd take it any day. It is a blast to drive.

Frankly I don't care for the sounds if the racing is good.
If it's a boring parade each race no-one will care if the cars sound awesome either.

In a perfect world we have great looking cars with awesome sounding engines and great racing everywhere. Please show me the way to that place.

But this is F1!! Not DTM.
Im not talking about racing. Im talking about F1 should be faster, harder, more power, tougher on drivers like 10 years ago.... and a decent sound. And this one will be 3 or 5 slower than last year. Even the GP2 cars can keep up now with new F1 cars!!!
I dont think its normal, but i agree a change was needed to stop the RBR dominance... but not with the engines..
