Tudor 2014 entry list has been published.

Surprising to see Starworks, Pickett, Level 5 etc on the reserves list but I very much doubt all these cars will show up.

I'm also not too clear if this is just the entry for Daytona or what - there are way more cars there than most circuits could take, yet they are listed as "full season" and "NAEC" - No way could Watkins Glen hold almost 70 entries.

On most of the tracks they're going to be racing apart aren't they?

IE they'll all race together at the "big tracks" (Daytona, Sebring, Indy, Petit etc) but then will seperate into Prototypes and GT in seperate events (Long Beach, Watkins Glen etc)

Not for the NAEC races, those are all in one events. I guess they've just decided to make the boxes a little smaller and possibly have the GT-Ds share or somesuch.

 Seems very curious about things that matter to a driver: tyres & visibility.

I would love to see Alonso turn to endurance after his F1-career!

Alonso would probably be a good endurance driver, he has excellent consistency.

Can't understand they still call in R18, looks massively different. At least R18+ or R20.

good night F1

Tbh, I already prefer it over F1 since last year. And I could say the same about the lates GrandAm and ALMS.

I'm looking forward much more to WEC and TUSC than F1

BTW, I didn't read much as probably some here had(deggis, ellis to name two) about some of the prospects for next year, but is it true that LMP1's total power next year perhaps go over 1000HP ?

There's still a chance that Alonso can be sharing a racetrack (and a restaurant afterwards no doubt ;) with Mark again.
No doubt it's where F1 drivers look to when their single seater time is up.

(And no, just to be clear I'm not making a "Sportscar racing is full of ex f1 has beens" point, just that the "operating window" of a sportscar driver is a lot wider than an F1 driver so they look to Sportscars to extend their careers when F1 chews them up and spits them out ;) )

All he has to do is convince his higher ups at Maranello to actually commit to the LMP1 they've been hinting about and I'm sure they'd be glad for him to lead the team, too.

Audi Sport R18 is the name for all closed LMP1 cars from Audi. We do not change the names anymore - similar to not changing names for new road cars

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... 771&type=1

Then again we are talking about a manufacturer that gave the same name to a road car and a race car (R8).

Maybe only very temporarily depending how the 2xERS is used. Cars should be roughly as fast as they are now, maybe even slower in the beginning.

If they keep the red and black livery then hopefully they use Yellow, White and Red highlights on the 3 different cars, and have the headlight LEDs match the paint highlights. Black car, yellow highlights with Allan, Tom and Duval in it would be awesome.

I really hope they keep this livery. But I assume they will go what with what their costumers usually chose for their road cars, grey and boring.

For a livery that looks very simple (even in Audi's scale) and rudimentary. Previous black test liveries also had few stickers, so I doubt that is the final one.

I hope they at least keep the black rims.

Interesting ERS systems... I'm guessing "Optimized flywheel energy storage system" means the recovered energy is not stored in an ultra-capacitor (like in F1), but in a flywheel? I love how we're seeing different methods for storing recovered energy in different series...

Yes, it's probably similar to they've used now two years in a row but with increased capacity due to the regs allowing more.

And infact the system they've been using is the one originally designed by Williams for F1.
