Because it's difficult to know exactly what happens where from that PR, someone on the Midweek Motorsport FB group made this (looks like he didn't grasp the concept of a screenshot tho):

12 GTLM's only? Can't they skip PC altogether then?

This mix & match the field stuff is just going to be annoying.

And I hope this daft capped field size idea doesn't end up with low fields by season end because they turned loads of cars away to begin with while we lose a few during the season to the usual budgetary, crash damage etc reasons.

And I just realised.

It's probable that a full time DP/P2 effort will be turned away because of Don Panoz's wheelbarrow getting an automatic entry.

That is what you get when you don't drop the original grid filler classes...

For those who are better visual learners, here's the madness that is the current 2014 IMSA schedule. We're still waiting on the Lites, GT3, Ferrari, and Lamborghini calendars, but here's what we're looking at so far.

Light blue - feature event
Maroon - Split feature event
Green - support race
Numbers in black represent the proposed class caps at each race.

NGT MOMO pulls No. 30 out of Petit Le Mans in memory of Edwards

Quote:
Team owners Henrique Cisneros and Ramez Wahab have elected to withdraw the No. 30 NGT MOMO Porsche at Petit Le Mans in memory of Sean Edwards, who lost his life in Australia.

The loss of Edwards has hit the team very hard; particularly Cisneros who was his teammate and co-driver in the American Le Mans Series and GRAND-AM.

Driver instructor Edwards was in Australia at Queensland Raceway as a passenger when something went terribly wrong. The young student racer reportedly hit the tire wall at speed which totaled the Porsche. Edwards did not survive and the driver at the time of the incident remains in critical condition.

“Sean was family to us,” said MOMO principal and co-driver Henrique Cisneros. “Our entire MOMO NGT Motorsport team is family and Sean was very much a part of that and a great friend."

Said team owner Wahab, “Obviously we had very sad and shocking news. We still can’t believe it. Our buddy Sean passed away. We thought it was the most appropriate thing to do, to withdraw the car in Sean’s honor. We just don’t feel it would be right to enter the car, with the many memories of Sean, and because we miss him already.”

The team will still race in the GT Challenge class with their No. 31 Porsche.

Sometimes I feel like on purpose giving wrong answer to that kind questions. Do you think for example alms.com might have the answer?

Spoiler:
yes on Sat, WEC Fuji nearly starts as soon as Petit ends
