If I were Red Bull, I wouldn't be worried about that. If he chooses to do that, then he will be digging himself a hole so deep he will need to learn Mandarin for effective communication.

Because if he were to write a book or give an interview saying how badly he was treated at Red Bull, anyone with two or more brain cells will turn around and ask 'if it was so crap at Red Bull, if life were so horrible, why did you renew your one-year rolling contract on four separate occasions, even when other teams had an interest in you?'

True. But it happens, and he wouldn't be the only one.
Ask Barrichello, Massa....Irvine.

Being number 2 in the fastest car on the grid is usually preferable to moving to another team.

I guess drivers just get comfortable, more than anything, and at the various stages of Mark's career, the options put before him weren't any better *shrug*

Either way, Mark doesn't strike me the type to keep his mouth shut once he's out of contract, so if people ask (which they will) then he'll answer.
All you have to see is his interview on Top Gear to realise that.

If he was only attracting the interest of midfield teams (like Rubens, Eddie and Felipe did), I would agree. But he had an offer from Ferrari for this year on the table last spring. Ferrari might not be quite as good as Red Bull, but they aren't a midfield team either.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Yeah but that's really exchanging apples for oranges isn't it?

Leaving 1 team because it's a 1 car operation that will focus on the number 1 driver and if you're lucky you'll pick up some scraps when he retires?
Why not move to another team that does exactly the same thing, only with different coloured shirts!

At least he and his buddy Alonso could've had more dinners, I suppose :p

That's the difference. I don't think Mark would have had such a problem moving over for Alonso, if it came to it. He enjoys it so much that he did it last year at Interlagos whilst being paid to explicitly not do so.

Webber won't bad mouth Red Bull - they're still going to back him next year and he's good chums with Dietrich Mateschitz.

Who made that strategy call for Webber? Could have won on two stops.

Worked quite nicely for Vettel as well, still a good drive from him.

I don't think he will write a tell all book about Red Bull for quite some time, if he will reveal the inner goings on of Red Bull it will be through interviews or off the cuff remarks. I don't think he or Porsche will need that distraction at the start of their partnership.

He's already said his relationship with Mateschitz is good but not with Horner or Vettel. I think in his mind he regards the f1 team as separate to the rest of Red Bull.

I have never been a fan of Webber. As a matter of fact I don't really like him, but it was amazing to see how he kept calm and smiling on the podium and during the interview by Mr Jordan.
I expected an engry Webber making comments like this "not bad for a no 2 driver" thing he once said. But his behaviour was outstanding and I respect him for that!

I haven't seen much of the post race or any interviews. But was Webber given the choice of a two or three stopper during the race, or forced on a three stopper by the team?

I believe the team decided to swith to a 3-stopper during the race, but Webber questioned on the radio if that would be the best decision. The team said it was.

Lol Giedo and Bianchi have a long history of running into each other. Surprised this is just their first time in F1.
