I could see the area around the circuit getting developed on eventually. It's right next to a shipping port (Mokpo) which, if it grows, could well need that land to grow on.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Was almost worth reading, but that's just utter garbage. On the throttle 50m before any other driver? Yeah, sure.

maybe he meant 50 foot and it got lost in translation like Papis's dislocated jaw.

Barrichello could race for Sauber in Brazil

Rubens Barrichello's return to formula one could even happen this season. It emerged late last week that the Brazilian veteran, who lost his Williams seat at the end of 2011, could be a shock contender to race alongside the highly inexperienced Sergey Sirotkin at Sauber next year.

But the highly respected Brazilian correspondent Livio Oricchio claims 41-year-old Barrichello - the most experienced driver in F1 history - could even race the Sauber at his home race at Interlagos for November's 2013 finale. Oricchio said Barrichello is currently not answering his phone.

"He just sent a message saying 'who knows'," he wrote in O Estado de S.Paulo newspaper. And Oricchio said F1 chief executive Ecclestone answered "good" when told of the prospect of Barrichello's return. (GMM)

I just don't know what to say really.

I really don't see the point in this. Barrichello has nothing to gain.

Like I said elsewhere, someone please put Rubens out of our misery.

Killjoys, all of you.

Would much prefer Rubens over Gutierrez or Nasr, who can't get it done in his second year against the weakest GP2 field in that series' history.

Rubens had his time. Big chance he only makes himself look silly. If he really wants to race take those 10 million to NASCAR, Indycar or ALMS.....

And how many times (and chances to) did Rubens get it done?

Paydriver Rubens Barrichello, that's sad.

I can only imagine this will be positive for Max Chilton. No longer the most sluggish driver on the grid.

Rubens spent one year in F3000 against stronger competition.

I was more referring to F1. Performance in F3000, GP2, etc... doesn't always translate into F1 does it? Rubens has had far too many years in F1, and yet what has he actually delivered to suggest he's more worthy than a young driver trying to break into the big time?

Plus, F3000 in 1992 is a very different thing to GP2 in 2013.

I don't think anyone doubts that Rubens came into F1 with a lot of talent and was a brilliant driver on his day. However, "his day" has long gone now.

Felix Antonio Da Costa should be announced as a STR driver for 2014 in this weekend's Korean GP.

Rubens over Esteban? Ha. Gutierrez has been rather good since Hungary, he just needs to get it all together.

It is extremely rare for a driver who can't at least win races on the last step of the ladder to suddenly do well at the top, and Nasr hasn't won in GP2.

Sauber need an experienced driver to work alongside Sirotkin, to teach him all he needs to know and to provide a good benchmark. Rubens could very well be that driver. I have seen no proof that he is past it. He beat Maldonado in that shitbox 2011 Williams and, along with Coughlan, gave the team a very good 2012 car. He struggled in IndyCar for the same reason Dario did; he couldn't adapt to the braking.

If Sauber need an experienced driver to coach a rookie then hire Rubens as a consultant, not a second driver.

That idea didn't entirely work for Williams, though.

He could probably score more points than any of the younger drivers being linked to Sauber, so there would be little harm in having him in the car.
