Yes sounds like complications that you can expect from a head impact but that you don't wanna see. Hope he gets away with it I am surprised nobody talks about that.

From what I read on various Italian media, he will be kept in an artificial coma for 48 hours and has undergone surgery to reduce the hematoma in his head. But, while a serious condition, it doesn't seem to be life threatening at the moment.

Great race and finish in SSTK 1000.

SBK Race 1 red flagged with 2 laps to go due to oil on track. HUGE crashes by Jonathan Rea and Leon Camier. Both riders seem to be generally ok at the moment (shown moving by the cameras) although their exact condition is unknown.

UPDATE: possibly a broken femur for Jonny Rea.

First WSB race back at Laguna Seca is on its second red flag of the day (due to air fence repairs and possibly oil). Good thing they rescheduled race 1 to today, plenty of time to fix the problems. So far Eslick, Haslam, Canepa and Hayden are out thanks to crashes.

Why did they reschedule race 1 to today?

No idea, but it's the first time they've ever run the races on different days. Maybe to suit European TV better, they've got both races before midnight rather than in the early hours of the morning.

ENORMOUS crash in STK 1000 for Bergman. Race red flagged. I hope the rider is ok, but I have just tuned in.
