I wonder whether his deal with SHR will effect this, especially after what happened to TS.

I would love to see Kurt Busch attempt double duty in the future. He would definitely have a chance in both.

Na, apparently TS won't stand in his way at all

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Haven't you heard? He already signed for SHR for 2014.

That was the idea when he tested the IndyCar at Indy this year. Nothing new.

Well the plans to race Indy aren't new, but the Fontana race is. To me anyway.

Busch said a few months back he wanted to do Fontana Kals, otherwise it would mean being thrown in at the deep end next Indy, which he didn't want.

Busch also said in an interview that he watched the IndyCar race with Tony this past weekend. I, for one, can't wait to see Kurt in an open wheel car.

Busch said Stewart had not only approved his IndyCar plans, but promised to come and support him.

"I mentioned that to Tony when we got together," said Busch. "He said, 'man, if you're going to run Fontana this year, I'm rolling with you and I'm going to be there with you'."

I'd love this comment to mean that Tony would also be racing in Fontana, but I know that is hardly likely.

The DW12 was designed with drivers like Paul Tracy in mind so he mightbe able to squeeze himself in it.

And his leg will still be extremely unhealed when that race is run.

With the North American portion of the IndyCar Series schedule nearly secure for 2014, IndyCar boss Mark Miles said Sunday he’s about to focus on organizing two sets of international packages for 2015.

One set of races would be held in late winter, the other early in fall. The first would be part of the IndyCar Series championship, the other would be a set of exhibition races.

Both are designed to extend the IndyCar Series’ reach and revenue.

“We’re not taking anything away (from the current schedule), we’d be adding to it,” Miles said.

Ideally, he said, there are two or three international races per set, with the late-winter races held in the Southern Hemisphere and the fall races in Asia/Australia.

The North American part of the schedule, which is expected to be released after the company’s Sept. 25 board meeting, is targeted to end Labor Day weekend.

As for a May road race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Miles said there’s still work to be done before a presentation can be made to the company’s board of directors.

As for a return to Baltimore for a fourth year, Miles said scheduling is the biggest obstacle. The venue isn’t available on this date next year, and the condensing of the IndyCar schedule is making the process challenging, he said.

Hopefully this means the possibility of IndyCar going back to Motegi (oval or road course) and adding races from Suzuka or Interlagos.

Is it? I'm interpreting "with the late-winter races held in the Southern Hemisphere" to mean there will be more races in South America

Sad day for Sao Paulo......IndyCar is gone. Band Network is in process of costs containment and one of its victims is the IndyCar race. It was too good to be a long-term truth. IndyCar was a fabulous event for São Paulo, it was a great alternative for Formula One and it's rising prices.

Unless another company shows interest on financing the race, the event is definetly gone. The only hope is SBT Network covering its costs, as Band Network has also announced they won't broadcast IndyCar on tv from 2014 onwards. The only hope is a return of SBT Channel, who bought the rights of former CART in the 90's and organized the Rio 400 races.

It's the only hope, but it's unlikely SBT will invest on motorsports again. :(
