Alonso starting to play his 'mind games' following the Kimi rumours

Quote:

I don't have problems with any team mate, that's the good luck my team mates have. In 2008 and 2009 Massa was better than Räikönnen, so in that sense I have no worries. Talking now about team mates it's a lack of respect towards Felipe, with whom I have worked very well this 4 years. I have never had problems with any team mate bar 2007, with Hamilton in McLaren and that was because of the team's management.

I want Vettel and Alonso at Red Bull, and Kimi and Lewis at Toro Rosso.

Jesus god he's so far up his own arse it's unreal. "That's the good luck my team mates have"? REALLY?

Yeah, the problem with management was they allowed Lewis to race you. Look at who he's had as team mates - Yoong/Marques, Trulli (who got shot down by Flavio after a series of issues), Fisichella (who wasn't that great), Lewis (who he hated), Piquet (who is worthless), Grosjean (who is an idiot), and Massa (who even on his good days isn't allowed to challenge Fernando).

With the exception of Lewis, not one of his team mates is even remotely as good as he is, and none of them have had equal treatment. None of those team mates are even as good as Webber is compared to Sebastian. The only exception is Lewis, and that is coincidentally the one team mate he had a serious problem with. He's "worked well" with Massa for 4 years because Massa has been his bitch, not because of anything else.

If Fernando got put in a car with Vettel or Kimi, he'd had a psychotic break down if he lost. He can't even cope with Vettel beating him, in a car which he says is so much better. In the same car he'd be found in the fetal position in the corner of the garage.

Fernando is going to have to be careful not to isolate himself before he even leaves Ferrari. Everybody knows that Red Bull is very image conscious and is all about marketing. After all the shit that happened with Vettel and Webber, they still managed to put on a brave face and sometimes even make positive PR out of it all. How could Red Bull twist Fernandos "mind games" into a positive image?

Well, in this particular case, I think he meant he's easy to deal with, that's why his team mates would be lucky.

I don't think he meant to imply here that because he's too good, his team mates will have a poor luck by facing him

Ya know, a part of me would like to see Button join Alonso at Ferrari just to see how massive a meltdown Alonso has when Button gets the team on his side

So Robertson is saying Raikkonen won't be joining Red Bull, yet Red Bull and Raikkonen both say nothing has been confirmed or settled. This is getting interesting.

According to Robert Doornbos (commentator on Dutch TV) Robin Frijns will sign a race contract with Sauber for 3 years. Apparently there was an option in his current contract that Sauber is set to take before 15 September according to his manager Werner Heinz.

I think that Gutierrez is already set to not race for Sauber anymore, the lack of sponsors and experience/driving skills doesn't give them a reason to keep him.
Hülkenberg will be looking for another seat (Lotus maybe) or even be a test driver at Ferrari or something, he was always linked to them.
Frijns/Sirotkin sounds quite interesting, I just hope that Sirotkin, who is 1 year younger than me( ) won't be over-challenged with the requirements of F1.

Alonso seems to be hinting at leaving Ferrari at the end of the year.

I don't see it happening though. It's probably just him motivating the team to make sure they work better.

where the feck will he go?

Joe Saward analyzed it pretty decent. Mercedes is locked in with Hamilton and Rosberg and even if Rosberg would leave, Alonso will never join a team that has Hamilton.
Red Bull has Vettel and thus another McLaren scenario.
McLaren will have 2 interim seasons with next year being the last with Mercedes and 2015 being the first with Honda.
Lotus has trouble paying Raikonen so how would they be able to pay Alonso then?

Either he's bluffing and possibly overplaying his hand or he's out of F1 by next season IMHO.

But he very obviously isn't.

One silly season rumor we can shelve. He should try getting the third seat at Force India.

Third seat at Force India has already been taken by James Calado.

I don't see why the likes of McLaren or Ferrari don't pick him up.

Bottas isn't going anywhere. He is a Williams protege.

I have my reservations.

1. Deal is not announced yet.

2. How will they make the car? Alonso and Kimi have opposite driving styles with the former liking understeer and the latter liking oversteer.
