Great, if it isn't crowded enough with Coulthard (BBC) Brundle (sky UK ) Tania (Sky Germany) and whoever Sky Italia send, now they have Rubens doing a gridwalk too?

Kai Ebel, Buxton, Nira Juanco (Spanish TV) and I think Jennie Gow (5Live) also do grid interviews :p Many more I'm sure!

A bit of overkill, wouldn't it be better if FOM hired one of the reporters to do a grid walk for the World feed, just like they do with the podium interviews these days? Now drivers need to answer the same stupid questions 10 times when on the grid. (It's basicly the same question every time: "what can you do from XX place today?")

I agree. Print journalists just get one group session where everyone sits around a table (or the press conference), but you see after qualifying/race that the drivers have to go round nearly every TV crew in the pen and yeah, answer the same question. I've also found that by watching the gridwalk; Brundle used to get a lot more yet now most of it's spent queuing because nearly every broadcaster does a gridwalk.

What do they provide there, weather and track conditions stuff?

Sky onboard the parade truck with the drivers, don't know if it's usual but it's very cool :)

It shows them things like when there's a yellow flag and when to use DRS - that was what caused the problem in China.

Its the telemetry link between the FIA & The cars & it works the cockpit flag lights & the automatic DRS/Safety Car systems which enables/disables DRS & automatically puts the cars into Safety car delta mode.

Both Sky & BBC did that in the past.

However this year Natalie has been doing it for FOM rather than sky (Note the F1 mic instead of sky & the FOM F1 communications shirt).

I read somewhere a few weeks back that other broadcasters aren't happy with how much of this sort of stuff sky personnel are doing for FOM. David Croft in the press conferences, Brundle on the podium interviews (Although I think he's better with them than anyone else has been so far) & Natalie for pre-race interviews.

Will Buxton has tweeted that they will revert to 2012 spec systems for Spain.

I'm sure they don't really need a drivers parade here

lol, had the opposite mistake and that's why I tuned up so early. Which sucks because the Bahrain pre-race is not exactly Monaco or something.

Bit of shameless plugging for the people who can't watch F1 live on television: you can watch it at www.watchf1forfree.com

Ferrari 1-2 after lap 1, Felipe will win because of a badass strategy. You heard it here first!

I can see Massa being the one with better chances but Ferrari bringing Alonso in first, with eventually Vettel winning instead of an easy 1-2.
