(Weren't Spamgasm smilees banned here? Or was that the old site? Otherwise I would've just gone with the classic Doornbos pulling a face at Bourdais on the podium at Mont Tremblant and Power pissing himself laughing ones)

Something I've just noticed about that is that DC was so busy gesticulating he almost drives off the road.

The availability of free practice on TV has actually made me realise that it isn't actually worth watching.

Ok I'll stop! (WTF is in his mouth tho?)

And Practice is worth watching. Any time the cars are on track and you have the chance of that unpredicatable "anything can happen" feeling, it's worth watching.

Plus practice is a lot more relaxed, you expand the depth and breadth of your knowledge, completely analyse the result from the last race and have a deeper understanding of the "story" of the race weekend than if you'd just shown up for qualifying and had the commentators tell you what had happened in practice in a 2 min summing up before Q1 begins.

I have fond memories of watching Friday Practice/qualifying and the Pre Race Warm Up on Eurosport back in the early 90's. Now I find myself recording practices and fast forwarding the whole thing to see if there were any incidents + the final results. It might be rose tinted spectacles, but I'm sure there was a lot more action in those 1990's sessions.

Actually these last two pages have been more entertaining than a lot of GPs I've seen over the years.

Perhaps he was thinking the old chicane was still there?

It's concerning that Schumi's controversial (maybe just DC's reaction although he does get pushed wide and forced to yield) driving at that time now looks like the height of driving standards half the grid could aspire to ...

I love FP's, just a nice time to relax and watch some cars hotlapping, and learn some interesting stories and bits about the cars.

I don't remember exactly the GP, maybe it was Japan. It certainly was in those times of last year

It just so perfectly represented the momentary boringness that took place on that particular GP, whatever it was. Eventhough I don't remember the specific race, I perfectly remember thinking it to be a perfect description of it when was watching it live

What was it that Doornbos did to Bourdais? I really cannot remember.
