Michael Shank has given up on any Indycar project.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Fair enough, although if he couldn't secure an engine and has now simply sold his chassis to another team, it doesn't exactly suggest that he is ready to go forward with it.

Unless he's looking to fund a car with another team, possibly.

Yeah, but I guess it's more or less confirmed if the Indiana state government approves.

I'd laugh if they didn't. Most residents in this state seem to be pretty pissed about it.

If you're going to make the stupid move of coming to Europe, atleast make it less stupid by going to a track designed for car racing...

Denied by the series. Still on the website.

Barber is also a bike track. I won't say anything until I see it.

Barber is a "club" track more then a bike track IMO. It is also racy as hell.

It was a track designed with bikes in mind. Only takes one trip to the museum to figure that out.

Laguna seems more like a bike track then Barber, but that is just my opinion.

Barbers run offs are designed for bikes. It's well suited and very well thought out.

Still, I think the general consensus is that they need to get their own house in order before they venture into anyone else's...

Long term I can see them thinking "Well, Bernie doesn't seem to care about Europe and we can't get away from NASCAR here so lets just pitch up there...."

...completely ignoring their USP, but yeah, sort yourself out at home first.

Glad to hear it seems to be Mugello advertising itself to Indycar rather than the other way round.

"Hey guys, we're here, and we've had a load of interest since we put it on our website...why not come over anyway?"

Nice try...
