Hamilton to Mercedes, Schumacher to the retirement home - possibly.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

If Eddie Jordan says he's going to Mercedes then he's more likely to be joining HRT.

Last time EJ made a prediction this big...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 368107.stm

Over a month before it was confirmed.

EJ also said last year that McLaren wouldn't win a race and they should bin the entire car.

If you talk enough bullshit eventually something you say will be correct.

That was his opinion.

This doesn't sound like his opinion, just like the Schumacher return story.

EDIT: And besides, didn't everyone think McLaren would win fuck-all last year?

That would be the mistake of his life, because Mercedes is rumoured to scale down to AMG and leave F1 in the upcoming years.

No, lol. They had 3 podiums in the first 3 races, and one was a win.

EJ is like Autosport. They make it up as they go along and every so often they get 1 big story right and everyone remembers that over the others.

Before Melbourne, I mean. The car was beyond awful in testing thanks to the exhaust, and no-one believed that the replacement they had was sophisticated enough to blow the diffuser as well as, say, the Red Bull.

I cannot remember any story of EJs on the BBC website which was wrong. And I do mean story, not what he puts in his personal column. If you can find evidence otherwise...

lol, when you've got to narrow it down so tightly then it becomes quite easy to make him look credible. Essentially you have to say "EJ gets things correct when you ignore everything he says on TV, his personal column, and only take into account stories other people have written based on selected quotes by him"

Sorry, no disrespect, but I disagree. The man is a complete fool. He talks utter bollocks and just because he got a couple of stories out of his hundreds of claims right doesn't make him worth listening to. This one may well be right too but it's hardly a massive leap and guess anyway, since Lewis is currently driving for a team partially owned by Mercedes. Now if he said he was joining Sauber and it came true then I might be more impressed.

Because everything he says on TV and everything he puts onto his column is his opinion. We all know what his opinions are like. The BBC would not be running this as the third story on their website if it had not passed their inbuilt bullshit radar. We're not talking about Planet F1 or Crash.net here, or even Autosport. The BBC have a reputation to uphold and it would look very bad if it turns out to be untrue.

Obviously. But no-one else got to the story first...

For the record, Lewis' management team has denied the story. Which now makes me twice as confident that it is true.

I won't believe a word of this Lewis to Merc story until he's forced to remove a twitpic of the contract.

I'm with RtN on this one. Whatever you think of EJ's opinions, he does seem to have a knack for getting the truth out of people.

Indeed, just like when he announced to the entire BBC audience that Felipe Massa had nothing more than a minor bump on the head during Hungarian GP quali in 2009.

Like ellis said, if you throw enough shit, some will stick...

When Eddie Jordan is unmoderated, he says stupid shit. No-one's arguing against that.
