BBC put Hamilton 15th in their count down of the top 20 F1 drivers of all time.

That's a crime.

I'm not sure whether I should be suprised or not by people's objections to these "polls". Every time a new poll emerges everyone is always outraged even though everytime a new poll emerges it is written with bias for home country drivers and some modern day drivers. Every time a new poll emerges the reaction is simply exactly the same.

This is why I got tired of polls years and years ago. Just an opportunity for fanboys and haters to argue.
I'd put more stock in them if they only featured drivers who have retired so their career may be seen more objectively.
Hamilton might win 5 more titles, he might never win again, we just don't know at this point and its too early to compare him to the greats.
He has talent, no doubt, but atm its all about application of that talent.

I have a feeling if it was made by Sky he'd be even higher up.

If it was in the ITV era he'd have been number 1

This is true. Andrew Benson is Lewis' fellator-in-chief.

Funny how this fallacy exists with the broadcasters.

Yes BBC might slightly focus on British drivers, no it's not 1/10th as bad as the ITV era and from what I've seen on Sky, they're no different.

It's how F1 is marketed towards the casual fans, get over it.

It's not as if you have the commentators calling a driver "Magico" ... (I live in Spain. You have one guess.)

He was so quick in FP1 that he would have been 2nd in GP2 practice. Good work.

Benson is not a broadcaster, though. He is a journalist, and he has come in for criticism on many occasions for being biased towards Lewis even more than ITV were.

Thankfully, the people involved in the broadcast are more sensible and appraise many different drivers.

In order to improve my writing, I read a hell of a lot from F1 journalists; I never read stuff from Benson though.
