I think the last time Ferrari had 2 drivers of equal status within the team was Berger/Alesi in 1995.

I dunno, they gave both Felipe and Kimi a fair shake for most of 2007.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Yeah, because Ferrari was the best car and the team was totally supporting Kimi, he just didn't have any motivation and had too many ice creams.

What's to say he loses motivation again? He had bad seasons with McLaren (2002, 2004 comes to mind), stuck with them, half a bad season with Ferrari (where all front runners from the previous year collapsed) and he lost it. What's to say the Red Bull ethos doesn't bring a Kimi mood swing?

Grosjean had horrible runs in the first 2 races, beat Kimi in China because of Kimi's tyre strategy (can't remember how many stops Grosjean made, but I think it he only made 2) and only finished 7 seconds behind him, that difference you could ultimately through the fact Kimi had a spare set of tyres left.

They're 2-2 in qualifying, and have only finished one up or one down on each other through strategy. Could argue Kimi might be slightly ahead, because of Grosjean's accidents in Australia and Malaysia, but removes those, on pure pace, they're even.

Yeh but apart from speed, the most imporant thing is to keep shit together and bring it over the line in a decent position. So that gives Raikkonen a huge advantage over Grosjean.

That's because the unreliabilty, mistakes by Kimi early on, and a couple of wheelhouse tracks for Felipe. Once the season wore on, and once Kimi got the support, he was masterclass.

Yeah, but they didn't subjugate Felipe until after Monza, when he was out of the title race. They gave him his chance.

Half a year of being equal in the last 16 years, largely due to circumstances, doesn't really help Ferraris case there.

Also in that situation, Felipe had a lot of clout within the team, and Kimi has never been the type to get involved politically.

Yes, which is why Webber would not be in any doubt over his role in the team should this speculation be true.

RtN, you were already a passionate fan of Sauber before the deal with Chelsea. Now that your passions are united, I hope you don't have a heartattack watching another bad strategy call from Sauber :p

Probably not such a bad idea if the fellow who is orchestrating RdM's strategy does some crossover work for one weekend.

Just so the rest of them take the fucking hint.

He has never lost his motivation. That's what the Ferrari-media wanted to say since 2008 Spanish GP, so they could get Santander and Alonso to replace him.

Kimi went rallying for two years to get his full salary from the Ferrari team and came back now. He's very motivated and has always been.

The Yay-tree has caught the attention of Ron Howard, director of the upcoming Rush-movie (and Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Da Vinci Code/Angels&Demons)

Snetterton features this fantastically crazy tree. I hope Tim Burton knows about this freakish natural occurrence :-) http://t.co/nzjEkwNn

Not surprised that it takes a movie director to be one of the few outside this forum to notice this from the first visit :p

I don't understand the whole "Kimi lost his motivation" crap, if Button had a couple of bad races people wouldn't be saying he's lost his motivation. Kimi has a very "Finnish" approach to things which shouldn't be a surprise given he's well....err... Finnish! he simply gets on with the job at hand and doesn't make a big commotion.

Also seems like they're recreating races at the same Snetterton today and tomorrow (Wednesday), so anyone close to the track might be able to go take a look. (they're inviting everyone to come and see too)

Let's hope the rain give them a break... I would like to see how the improved cars will behave in the dry, hope Lotus can make a good job, they lost a whole week of tests in february and still did a great job in the first 4 races, with two drivers in the podium at Bahrain, that's their chance to take a step ahead.

They were shooting footage meant for recreating Fuji, in the rain today.
