I see #BOTTAS is a really popular Twitter trend at the moment. I'm really failing to see what's funny about it, so can someone enlighten me?

Nice to see Williams beginning to go for ultimate pace now.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I hope they can get closer to Lotus and Force India this year. Same goes for the Caterham. I'd like to see more fights between the positions 6 - 14. I'm being a realistic about positions 1 - 4, it's going to be Red Bull and McLaren over there with Alonso following on 5th place.

Kobayashi on top today, 3 tenths faster than Perez' fastest whilst on harder tyres than him.

If the Sauber is still able to preserve the tyres as well as they did last year it's going to be a good year for them.

When asked about Ferrari,

Quote:
As long as Fernando has a steering wheel in his hand he is always there," said Webber. "So you can never discount Fernando"

Poor Felipe.

To stick up for Felipe, he has apparently helped Ferrari to work out how its car works.

Right now, the smart money remains on Red Bull with McLaren as its nearest challenger. Thinking back to how the McLaren looked here last year pre-season, that's a vast difference for the Woking team. Right now, there are three big teams – the aforementioned top two and Mercedes – with reason to feel pretty happy and a fourth – Ferrari – relived at least to have ironed out some of its troubles. Pastor Maldonado looks a lot smoother than he was at times last year, indicating that, if nothing else, this is a better-handling than its predecessor. The same couldn't be said for Jean-Eric Vergne in the Toro Rosso. In the fast corners in particular, he had a whole heap of oversteer to deal with and was pretty ragged at times as a result. Not that it appeared to overwhelm him. It was a similar story for Kamui Kobayashi in the Sauber, who appeared to find it very easy to overstep the line and have the rear snap on him in the medium-to-fast stuff

Selected bits. As it's a premium feature I won't post al of it.

Hopefully Felipe's right and they have started to crack the new car ... I have been sat here hoping that all their aero-runs and data acquisition are (mostly) prudent endeavours to ensure that their wind tunnel correlates with reality after the difficulties of (the) last season(s), particularly with such a radical car, they need to be sure of where they stand. Autosport Live has also mentioned them making some fairly large changes to things such as the exhaust layout during the tests ... hopefully they're starting to get a handle on it, and a corner is being turned.

The title fight would be better for them being in it, and Alonso's performances in the last two seasons (in addition to the back half of 2008) have won me round to him ...

I doubt it as they just recently passed the crashtests.
