I hate the idea of the famous Indy 500 becoming a fuel mileage race, all the past highlights of classic finishes were of great duels on the track, not random fuel mileage victories.
And I don't know how much Wil Vincent has told you all but we watched the race in the pub where people were demanding more crashes! (casual fans!
) and they were dipping in and out, but after the finish I was asked about the series and when the next race was, etc.
Yep, finished turned the race from a forgettable parade to a classic that will be talked about forever.
Only the final lap will be replayed over and over, not much else.
