Why can't we have rule, that if it's declared wet race they HAVE to start with full rain tyre. Sainz crash was scary, if he had bounced middle of track we would have Spa / Hubert all over again.
There is a rule like this, I remember one race ferrari had to pit for full wets after they started on inters because the wets were mandatory for the full field. Many years ago though, so don't remember which race it was. Or I'm remembering it wrong, not sure

So they need to run more 37 laps in the next 2,5 hours to fill the full points

TV rights probably dictate it?

That and all the spectators would probably demand their money back for missing the start of the race. I doubt the promotors would allow it at the last minute, unfortunately too many logistics involved to make such a decision, even if it's a matter of safety.

I'd rather pay to see a race than pay to see cars sitting in the pits. Give 24 hours notice and people would adjust their plans.

And it’s not like the majority of them arrives at the track 10m before the start

This is why Pierre was so angry. Tractors were on the track but since he was way back after a pitstop (and was catching the field), he pasted them at almost full speed.

Well, the only positive thing after Spa 2021 is the massive backlash that made Liberty realize a 1 lap "race" behind SC and three hours of everyone sitting in the pits won't cut it.

This is why F1 needs slow-zones like Le Mans. They always blast through the track while marshals are working.
But no, current SC rules are fine.

had to watch again to see the tractor, drivers have a keen eye to see that at speed and with low visibility

Red flag. Gasly was also Going too fast. I understand his emotions, but this is totally ok tbh
