So much asphalt on the frontstretch that serves no purpose.

If they ever have green flag stops tomorrow, it's gonna be a nightmare. At Daytona and Talladega you can actually get off T4 before you have to lift/brake, with a ton of room to the bottom to get out of the way. And we know even that isn't enough sometimes. So, pitting from the pack at New Atlanta where you have absolutely none of those advantages? Fucking. Mess. Confirmed.

All this Daytona/Talladega hype and I wonder if it'll be a repeat of Texas '97/'98.

Yup.

It’s just going to be single file on the bottom, they’ll start off in a pack (and will probably end the race in one) but the outside can’t carry the momentum down the back straight into turn 3 enough to gain an advantage because it’s too short, so it’ll be single file for 98% of the race, well that’s how it worked in our league race last night.

Pit stops will be laughable probably….

Glad to be proven wrong though.

I don’t know how they got this so wrong, didn’t they get iRacing to simulate the track and put AI on it and it produced pack racing for the entire run?

That’s exactly what happens in NR2k3 too, until you put real folk on track then it becomes a single file conga line within about 8 laps.

I guess I’ll sleep well tonight, can just put thi# on loop….

NASCAR can use it to launch their ASMR YouTube channel.

They simulated cup cars, not trucks...

Can someone explain to me what all the bitching is about with the new atlanta? I think the truck race has been fun to watch so far. Lots of 2 wide racing. Also lots of stupid tire failures and such, but in general this is much more exciting than most races. Whats the issue?

Heim nailed that. He backed off coming to the white flag and got a huge run
