I think Gio would be the best choice. Not sure how much work he's done with the 2022 cars, but he finished 2021 fairly strongly and wouldn't have been undeserving of a drive.

Hulk may take longer to get back up to speed. It would be a great story if he were to somehow get that podium, though.

Not sure Enzo has really done enough for the seat. The Fittipaldi name would be great, but I'd expect him to be well beaten by Mick.

Nikita was "732nd Russian to be sanctioned by the EU, while his father was number 723."

At least he beat his Dad and wasn't in last place.

Not a good sign for the Peugeot LMDH program.

Could be just for this season. Peugeot won't race Le Mans this year, anyway.

Nope.

Kevin Magnussen has signed a multi-year deal to make a sensational return to Formula 1 with the Haas squad in 2022, following the team’s decision to part ways with Nikita Mazepin ahead of the season start.

somewhat surprising. But went for experience over money so thats a big plus. Means we dont have to fear of the near future of Haas

I had hoped for new blood to be in F1, but for Haas as a team, it makes sense

Mazepin has decided to troll F1 further by starting the "We Compete as One" foundation (sound familiar? ) to support Russian athlete's that have been forbidden from competing in top-level sports. And the foundation will be funded by Uralkali blood money of course.

They've hired the one driver that won't be either teaching Mick anything or pulling over for him so the golden boy can get a good finish

Gonna be explosive....team orders aren't gonna mean shit to K-Mag

Willing to bet his drive is funded by Drive to Survive :whistling:

For those that don't have Sky Sports here is a stream that is working.

And the Merc side pods kinda reminds me of the Modena of 1990. The Merc does look pretty crazy. I can 100% see them being protested for sure.

the interesting thing about merc's new sidepods is that the team whose design direction is most similar is williams - which either means that merc will be shit this year, or williams will be in the mix

I heard they used chemical cooling. Now chemical always sounds scary but it isnt always that scary.
I am however interested if that stuff is dangerous to the marshals. Would they want to be near that stuff after a crash?
