Lewis needs to quit that whole partying with models shit and stop having interests outside of studying F1 stats and watching old races like all the coolest people do. :whistling:

Cos you know, the people who are the cool, old race watching, stats looking up TRUE F1 FANS would definitely not be partying with models and enjoying interests outside of F1 if they had his money, I'm sure they'd do nothing that anyone else might get jealous of or consider OTT at ALL :whistling:

you mean like Vettel who has a very reserved social life that we thought he was spending time with his family, but he stays in his office watching old races and reading F1 literature

Not gonna lie, I was keeping this information as a joker for if the discussion ever turned ugly like often with Lewis, but it's been ok so far.

Hamilton is in fashion business so that's a good investment. And him showing up there was effective PR. We talk about him and fashion instead of motorsports or F1.

I think he's gonna earn a shit load more with his own clothing brand in next few decades.

I really hope Liberty doesn't push F1 content into TikTok

it'll make it impossible to watch

I meant to mention that too tbh, Basically we're a bunch of rapidly approaching middle aged white guys sitting around calling the fashions of some young black men ludicrous. But they were never for us or were going to appeal to us were they?

TBH no fashion show ever has had clothes I'd want to wear in it, I just write it off as a different world and never engage with it, but for some reason every time Lewis does something like this away from the racetrack, it has to be posted here so people can grandstand about it
That's something I'll never quite grasp. As you all know I'm a fan of Lewis, but I couldn't give much of a shit what he gets up to outside of the car.
And this whole "true F1 drivers are partying hard legends who turn up drunk to races after shagging 3 airlines stewards all night" is such a fallacy I don't know where to begin with it. Hunt had a drinking problem and it's fairly obvious his career would've been better if he'd focused more on the racing parts and less on the benefits of being a well known name part (as Lauda tried to explain to him) but people still hold this as standard to the F1 drivers of today as if they want everything to go back to that. *shrug*

You just know if Lewis or even the younger kids in the field today got caught partying or drunk even well away from the F1 paddock, the headlines would be all how they're throwing their talent and oppurtunity away, not how cool and rebellious they are.

Those times are gone and they're not coming back

So I bought a 1 month subscription to F1TV.

Quite disappointed to see the older seasons don't have all the GP's available in full race replay. I thought all races were available?

No, they're gradually uploading all of them. FOM have a small team who are slowly going back through all the original master tapes, which are currently stored in a massive warehouse at the former RAF base at Biggin Hill

There's a good spreadsheet here with all the details on: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... =208543894

I'm disappointed they're not using the digital+ footage for the races from 1996 to 2002. Would be nice to have the option to switch back and forth between both feeds of those races while watching.

I wonder if they will go through practice, qualifying and warm-up sessions as well? I would pay anything for full digitized master tape archive of, say, 90s practice sessions. Sadly, I think there's no incentive for them include other sessions because "people are only interested in races" or "we want to keep it simple". Though, since their YouTube compilations occasionally have practice incidents, I think they have indeed digitized them.
