Sainz you fucking pansy. Eau Rouge/Radillon needs no tweaking. You dingbats need to pull your heads out of your asses and drive like it's soaking wet. You're F1 drivers. You're supposed to be the best. Stop asking for tracks to be changed to suit you and go out there and prove you are what you are marketed to be.

But it might also stop them from trying to go full pelt into that corner knowing that they can't just straight line it if they overstep.

Exactly!!!

Can they make the gravel much deeper like truck escape road?
If the car goes in it will stop immediately, but without a crane, it's impossible to drive the car out itself.

Vettel is apparently really angry on the radio

I think it's time Vettel got out of the car and started running for Masi's role if he thinks any kind of wet running is dangerous

Nothing to do with him not being as good as others in the wet, of course

One driver made a mistake, it's not like 20 of them went barrelling into Eau Rouge and crashed...

Stick to driving or become a race director Seb, not both

When I heard Vettels message I was like “oh shut up old man” and then Norris crashed and I thought he might have a point.
On Dutch tv they mentioned he was lucky there was no one close behind him. In the mist he could have been clobbered.

There seems to be a very thin line between being right and complaining in this sport

Is there any reason why a SAFER barrier running along the edge of the track wouldn't work? Or at the very least, replace the tyres with Tecpro.

well, if I driver cannot enter the car and race then he should walk out and let someone who is able to do the job. But of course they don't want to be the next Johnny Servoz Gavin

At least this gives Formula W longer to repair their machines, I suppose...

Norris went clearly too fast on entry. These drivers have lost all the respect for Eau Rouge taking it flat in the dry for years. But even the tarmac run-offs won't save you here.

There's also a new bump right at peak compression.

Quote:
"It's a great, great circuit," said the Mercedes driver. "It's very bumpy now through Eau Rouge, something's happening.

"They've kind of ruined it a little bit with whatever it is. I don't know if they have got a new patch [of asphalt] there, but there's a massive bump right at the compression point, which we've never had there before.

"It's really, really sharp up through the [body]. You feel it on the backside. But I'm sure they will fix it. I think has something to do with the mudslides, the rain, or something like that."

Are these commentators all clueless? They have a plan to move the barriers back.

I wouldn't think gravel and the left would be wise. A wreck like Norris just had I'd be a little worried about the car digging in.

The SAFER barrier on the left is a good idea as the car wouldn't be flung back across the track.

Fully agree, the angle was real shallow, but the tyres caught it and destroyed the car and banged the driver's nogging unecessarily. A safer would've redirected him a lot more safely

Which means Lewis and bottas will be 2 & 3 and max 5. Since it would take Q2 results. And with Norris getting a penalty for changing car, if he can race at all, means Lewis can be handed the win already.

Well, Brundle calls it the way I see it too. It's motor racing.

If you don't like it, go play chess.

Lewis will get the pole anyway, he has the upper hand on wet weather

I mean, Norris did acknowledge aquaplaning on the radio in his outlap. What's the number one aquaplaning spot on this track?
