Unless it is something soooo obvious that the stewards missed like Hamilton yelling "Banzai!!!!" on the radio, I can't help but feel that this is opening up a whole can of worms.

Mercedes can just as easily turn around and say that Max wasn't on the normal racing line so therefore his angle of attack into the corner was compromised and also contributed to the crash.

Mercedes could also claim that they are being tried by the court of public opinion by he who cries the loudest. Which is what I see this as being.

So much this. I want to see Max and Lewis on track, not two whiney man-childs in a suit having a legal argument at the bosses' office over printed e-mails. That's my daily life already.

Breaking news: as a part of their new diversity plan, Mercedes and Hamilton will compete in Formula 2 in the 2022 season, because Formula 2 supports 8 different races.

Gossip in the street is that the FIA will take no further action against Hamilton regarding Silverstone.

In other words, expect Lewis to be clobbered out of the next few races by Perez, Gasly and/or Tsunoda.

I think the only champions not to care about their team mate in recent history have been Raikkönen and pre-Hamilton Alonso.

Well why would Lewis or Mercedes want a different number two driver?

Bottas obeys the team orders every time. He's fast enough but not too fast to beat Lewis. Bottas has good spacial awareness too, he always knows how to dodge when Lewis is blasting by on lap one or when ever.

George is not as good as Valtteri on these terms that both Lewis and Toto values high.

What options does he have? Is he completely free to go where he wants?

I'm not sure, but I can't see him wanting to stick around if they keep him trundling around at the back, his only hope is Williams makes a substantial leap next year and becomes a legit team to stick with, which imo would actually be pretty cool

So Mercedes plan for the future might not have George at all, they'll probably sign Verstappen once Hamilton retires

or if they offer him what they are paying to Hamilton

Arent new contracts also bound to limits soon?
Besides that I don’t think max would chose money over winning. So if from 2022 on Mercedes is meh they won’t be able to lure him with money
