Perhaps this is where it clicks for Mazepin - you will do better and go faster by driving at 95% and logging the laps than you will by driving at 99% and spinning all the time.

Actually I think the shunt will be a good wake up call for Mick and get him a bit more dialed in for the rest of the weekend. I expect him to comfortably outpace Mazespin again when it matters.

I have seen in earlier years a crane at the chicane, but it probably covers only the area instantly next to the track. If the car is stuck to the wall which Perez hit in 2011 it would be OK to crane it off.

The trouble with that now is, if you set pole and have a genuine spin on your next lap, no-one is ever going to believe you didn't do it on purpose
