Absolutely not now they've poured that black shit over all but the bottom groove. You thought the racing was bad before?

most of the NASCAR tracks has done it, so more ovals = it's something they are gonna have to deal with it.

Problem they had with Texas was a double whammy, as they used older rubber that was basically dead on the tire dragons - making it even slicker (on top of the VHT making it darker & more attractive to higher track temps)

The compound has only appeared at repaved big tracks and Bristol. Repaves in general are never that good for years.

I wonder if I'll be able to get my same tickets if they come back to Pocono next year... Probably not... Those were damn good seats.

The racing at Pocono was not bad. The fact that the last two years they had essentially lap 1 crashes that took out 5 of the best cars each time is what made those race lousy.

I don't care. If they come back to Pocono, I'm going.

I've been to the mid west a lot (Friends and Indy), but I was repetedly thinking about a north east road trip the last few years. Ending it down in Pocono would be perfect.

former IndyCar / Champ Car employee Matt Breeden has been charged with stealing $42k from a foundation that supports Riley Children's Hospital. Breeden recently worked with SVRA & RaceTrack Engineering (who works with IndyCar + other series around Indiana)

JJ has changed his tune on the 500 slightly, looking at running a Max Chilton type schedule it sounds like next year

Jimmie has tested positive for Covid so I'm assuming he won't be testing an Indycar now :(

I'm sure most people know this but i'll post this here as well.
https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/53334608

Alonso returning to Renault means 2 things for Indycar. There is no possibility now that he will be full time in Indycar for 2021 and this most likely means he will miss the 2021 Indy 500. I know he missed a race before to do it, but i don't see that happening this time with Renault. Hopefully I'm wrong on that one.

The Indy 500 and the Monaco GP won't clash next year.

It depends whether the FIA/FOM schedule back to back GPs, if there's a race in the day of the 500.

It'll clash with Indy time trials, though. But another driver can qualify the car.

Or maybe set some decent times during Thrusday and get an exception to the 107% rule, fly to Indy, qualify on Pole Day, fly back and start last on sunday :p

Ohhh ok, thanks for the info Gabriel! I thought the pushing back of the Monaco GP was just for this year (before the complete cancellation, obviously) cause of the scheduling confusion of Covid related stuff.
