Also did they ever replay the car on fire and what happened there? Had to switch it off as soon as the green flew

Oddly, they never did. I watched until the end.

That ending could have been epic :(

From what it looked like when the yellow came out, they would just keep going single file until the end.
In hindsight you're probably right, I had just gotten caught up in the moment.

Epic or not, it would've been nice to have let them finish. The wreck was over a mile past the S/F line, surely they could slow down enough by the time they came back around.

I wonder what the criteria is for that? I swear they let them race back to the line one of the races here a year or two ago. I could understand if the wreck was just past the trioval or the beginning of the backstretch, or if they had a blanket policy to throw a yellow the moment a crash happens, but as you said, it was well past where they would be slowing down.

Ehh I kinda understand NASCAR on that one. You can't let them alwasy race back to the line when there's a crash or it's going to give the drivers the idea to just gas it through any kind of wreck in hopes that they don't throw the yellow.

I think its if the crash looks so hard they need to send ambulances on to check on the drivers

Even if the field is well past the accident, no safety vehicle can enter the racetrack without it being yellow

I guess its a judgement call but that accident did look pretty hard with multiple big impacts, if any of those drivers had been knocked out or worse and nascar held the yellow for a finish, they'd be in serious trouble

They're always gonna err on the side of caution (lol) in these cases. We just have to get used to it

I can understand why they threw the yellow. The only thing they could do in future is have certain sections of race track where the yellow comes out (Yellow lights come on from turn 1 to the backstraight and everybody approaching the accident has to slow down, but everybody in front of the accident can race to the line). Not sure if this would work, but something along those lines.

Stenhouse's haircut is absolute trash. He's looking like a HS freshman no matter what.

I thought this race was meant to start 15 minutes ago? Or are we delaying it until the rain comes
