Week #3 of big event races here in the Carolinas is this weekend. Concord Speedway's half mile tri-oval will be back in action for the first time since May with the annual North South Shootout, featuring the John Blewett III Memorial 125 for Tour-type Modifieds. So far,
22 cars are expected to race on Saturday (18 pre-entered as of last weekend) for the Modified race. Supporting the weekend includes 602 Tour Modifieds, 602 Super Limiteds, Street Stocks, Vintage & the Allison Legacy Series.
Meanwhile just a hour drive to the west, PASS Super Late Models will be racing at Hickory Motor Speedway for the Mason-Dixon Meltdown on Saturday afternoon. Supporting the event includes Street Stocks & Legend Cars. Speed51 will have a
LIVE PPV broadcast on their website, with MavTV also having a delayed television broadcast. Originally this race was slated to run a week later, but PASS quietly removed their slated race at Concord on NSS weekend off their schedule & move Hickory to the same date.
Cherokee Speedway will also have racing on Sunday for the SECA SRI Topless Tour, which is sorta a warmup for the track as they host the Blue Gray 100 next week.
