Very sad news. Just few weeks ago Teemu Selänne (NHL hockey player) lost his mother after a knee surgery complications. These unfortunate events shows how you can't buy health. In Marchionne's case it seems like he knew for a while what might happen, big respect for him to keep it to himself and going away with the boots on and leaving a great legacy behind. Fixing FIAT and Chrysler, lifting Ferrari F1 team back to the game, Alfa Romeo's and Dodge's comebacks, these all happened during his leadership. Rest in peace.

Wow that came out of nowhere. Sad and tragic, the man was a ballsy change maker. RIP.

James Key is heading to McLaren. If he can't save them no one can.

McLaren announced they had signed James Key, but Toro Rosso stated he still has a contract running.

We might hear more from this story.

Worth quoting again. There are a lot of issues with F1 in 2018 and the halo that nobody has noticed since Melbourne is not one of them.

I not minding halo anymore but the "sense of safety" should imply that there could have been more crashes

So it might not be Daddy Stroll buying Force India but Daddy Mazepin...

You're wrong, Philthy and Gabriel.

They have now.

https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/13767 ... --red-bull

In the story is another line of intrigue regarding Norris - McLaren's option on him only lasts until the end of September, and Red Bull make it clear that they will not seek Norris as a bargaining chip for Key but will instead wait until that option expires.

I missed the original quote, but I'm happy to change it - I used that one because it made me laugh, not because I care about the halo.

He is currently a director of a few other companies in the UK:

Rich Energy Racing Ltd - this company, formed in December, who have no accounts files but have pulled 30m GBP out of their beards
Rich Energy Ltd - The actual, active company whose last account filing is shown in the tweet above. Worth about 2.1 million in assets
Wise Guy Boxing - Seems to be doing nothing other than avoiding a winding-up order last year for failing to submit a return in 2016
Tryfan Technologies Ltd - Currently in liquidation, having been the subject of a winding-up order from Sky TV Germany, oddly enough

All four are registered to the same rent-an-office building in London. Seems like the sort of business who can save an F1 team...
