Finally a chance to disbelieve all weather reports and watch weather reports a few days before the race and then see cars raced during bone-dry conditions (except for practice when obviously it will rain every event and stop cars from coming on track)

Let's get this started - https://weather.com/en-GB/weather/tenday/l/ASXX0075:1:AS

So, what is going to be the new name of Force India? Or did I miss anything and are they sticking with the name?

Since were stuck with DRS for a bit longer just make the whole track a DRS zone, Give them perhaps 90 seconds of use through a race & let drivers use it as they see fit for both attack or defense.

Or better yet get rid of DRS & use the hybrid systems as a P2P.

Yeh WTF do they have full wet rain tyres for?
This aint Nascar where bird shits on track and its red flag, but unfortunatley thats exsactly how it was in the past rain races...
Hopefully they continue like it was in Singapore 17, no SC

I'm an asshole that wants to see big crashes every once in a while because real racin', but even I can accept that when it comes to starting a race in the wet, even with wet weather tyres, there are good calls:

bad calls:

Ofcourse there are good calls for those you showed, but there were races that they waited until its completley dry to those races im reffering, i think it was Monaco 2016, there were same conditions like in 2008 but only then no SC start...
Ofcourse safety 1st, but sometimes they really really drop the green flag until there is a dry line

They learned something after that Monaco race. And the new cars extra downforce certainly help in these situations.

*ahem*

Maybe this wasn't read at the top of the page, but there will still be SC restarts this year...

That’s only half true

Autosport.com wrote:
F1 races this year may feature standing starts after red-flag periods, with the cars being led by a safety car before forming up on the grid.

So in actuality only red flagged races MAY feature grid restarts. Restarts following SC periods remain unaltered.

restarts ok, but no race starts, that's the biggest bummer. Or did they revert from last year?

about DRS they should do the opposite, run with them open permanently and close only in selected turns if you're 1 second behind the car in front

that could show some proper driving skills

Just watching the Supercars practicing now...and I will say this, turn 1 is almost old school levels of gravel traps. It is thick. And they have got the perfect balance of what we want as fans. The curb, a strip of grass/astroturf and then gravel. Why oh why can't every circuit be the same.
