I'm sure Harry Tincknell has the kind of voice you could recognize even between 100 others talking.

So any predictions on pole position time? I think it will be around 3:14.5 to 3:15.xxx but some say even a 3:13 could be possible.
The pole record for this track configuration is Stephane Sarrazins 3:18.513 back in 2008 and the outright record is Jackie Olivers 3:13.9 in the mighty 917LH.

We discussed this on tentenths some weeks ago and I calculated(just a linear extrapolation which neglects several factors that can make a considerable deviation in the result) a possible time in the 3.13.

As for the test day, it's been typically the same as the actual race's fastest laps and as race pace under 3.20 is expected, I think we'll see some 3.18/3.19 these next days

Seems like quite a setup for a damn testing session, lol.

Yeah. The grandstands are sold out for Sunday. I don't actually know how many people that rounds up to, but I think it must be one of the first times that's happened? Teams already 'have' to go all-out in terms of hospitality/catering/fanciness.

Remember most of the infrastructure will stay until the main race, good opportunity to test all aspects of the setup I suppose.

People who've been in the last couple of years - what are the options for getting from the Porsche Curves to Arnage (and back) during the race? I'd quite like to watch from Arnage Saturday evening before going back to Bleu Sud, but a bit of researching tells me that it won't be that easy...

Long walk, or the shuttle bus, I presume. I was there in 2012. The shuttle bus goes first to Mulsanne corner, then to the pits, then to the Porsche curves though, so that is an hour long ride. Take the bus to Arnage, and walk back is my idea. Just make sure where the roads are so you won't get lost.

Looks like the whole of Europe is getting infected with this shitty weather. Hope we're going to get a bit of dry running towards the later hours.

The radar sadly does seem to indicate that there's going to be intermittent rain still coming down.

Nissan & Porsche have been doing some Periscope-ing in the pitlane, and the official Le Mans account have done a bit from the stands as well.
