Just few months ago? Not sure if we are talking about the same thing, but Penske PR person admitted last year after many rumors that they were in talks with Porsche initially (before 2013) but then Porsche wanted to do it in-house. If this rumor is about them, then obviously it is a new thing and unrelated to these older ones.

Oh yeah... I think there are two announcements being teased. This sounds more like the "fun story" Dagys was talking about.

The DW Road Car is actually more mental than it seems at first.

So think back to the original DW. Designed by Ben Bowlby, funded mostly by Ganassi. Don seems to think that because he bought some of this, that he owns the rights to all cars with a thin nose...which is mental. So he's suing Nissan for using a Delta shaped car. Now this road car isn't being built by Panoz - since everything they build is awful. So they want to license the right to build a thin nosed car. Who is going to buy the right to use a thin nosed car, from a man who probably doesn't have the single rights to build thin nosed cars, whilst he's suing people for it?

This is bat shit mental.
