With Kolles being busy with a 2015 F1 team, I doubt this effort will get much investments. Suprised Lotus is still lending their names to efforts like this.

Even if they used the most basic cameras, that's £50k for the camera alone, nobody in their right mind is going to leave £50k sitting on a station unsupervised for 4 days straight, that's just asking for someone to nick it....

Now how many cameras do you need, 15? 20? You really want to leave a million quids worth of cameras laying around with tbk members wondering about unsupervised :D ?

What stops from them removing the cameras and reinstalling them? They already do quite a lot of work to shut down and reopen the roads. FFS, even one camera in a good place could be a big difference.

Dismantling and reinstalling 20+ cameras every 4 hours? not gonna happen.

But I do agree, 3 or 4 could be installed in decent positions and it would improve the coverage no end.

Aren't they constructing a new road, kind of making the run up to Indianapolis/Arnage permanently "track"? Maybe this will help for the future

As I said earlier the TV cameras are set up during the practice days and don't get dismantled. Only the cameras on cranes for high angle shots are grounded. And for a year that is 2014 I think it is quite poor that we only get frootage from CCTV cameras of certain areas.

With a Romanian flag, no less.

My French isn't too amazing, so I can't read the article provided, but does this strike anyone else as a bit random?

Quote:
Porsche LMP1 vice president Fritz Enzinger said: "Absolutely we are going to go for pole.

"We know the race is going to be very tough for us in our first year back, so it is important to have a good qualifying."

Brendon Hartley, who set the fastest time for the #20 Porsche in Wednesday's qualifying session, said he expects the laptimes to be much faster than his 3m23.157s effort that currently holds provisional pole.

"It was a pleasant surprise to see our names at the top," said Hartley, who believes a 3m20s lap is possible.

"It's going to be much quicker tonight. Even on my in-lap yesterday I had set a faster sector time but I didn't get to complete it."

It's a Kolles effort, thus the Romanian flag. Lotus was way too easy handing out their brand a phew years ago. Nowadays it get's stuck on every shitty effort possible.

Probably impacted the pole there and brought it back in.

It's designed by Adess. Which is probably the most competent part of this project.

Also looks quite nice and at least it's not WHITE.

Hope Adess just sell it under their own name to a privateer. With Kolles going to F1 I doubt we otherwise see anything of the car next year.

They couldn't bring in any of those cars they originally planned to field?

The Ferrari-to-others ratio gets even higher :(

It' 2014. They should have cameras on every corner. For every session. Even if its a £50 webcam-style feed!!

Is this the same spot as we had that massive Pug crash a few years back? Or is it further round?

(Oddly enough, was it Gene the man driving that car, and how he is the man being the replacement for a similar accident.)

Open the Player site twice, mute ES1/ES2 and sync by pausing either = HD.

or if the Polish version doenst give HD channels either, use e.g. http://hola.org and access it via eurosportplayer.co.uk instead, you'll also get British commentators this way :p
