"The driver was immediately attended on the scene by the doctors from the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's Medical Service.

"In a serious condition, Allan Simonsen was transferred immediately to the circuit medical centre, where he died soon after.

Only one oral exam left after the race (thank God they moved it one week later) so I probably will be able to watch quite a lot 8) Looking forward

Not entirely happy with Toyotas enlarged fuel tank. They had 1 extra lap per stint at Spa, and the extended tank should give them a lap at Le Mans too. If the idea was balance, this isn't it. They proved last year that the petrol cars can be competitive with the diesels should a works team come along.

And I'll be trackside with a data connection as usual, reporting on the various smells and issues through the night.

And if Allan doesn't get another win this time, I'll be pissed.

Does anyone know if it is easy to Park the car around the circuit, and how much that might cost me? Might think about going on last minute with the car but don't know if that is possible. Last time I went was with the bus and before that with camping so don't know bout other factors.

Will Reinhard Joest need to dust off his infamous red button since Peugeot self-combusted themselves a few years ago as Toyota is more of a threat this year?

I am looking to this thread due to its epicness with the past Le Mans threads.

Assuming plans don't change, I should be around for the whole thing this year 8)

Thx.

I wonder if they allow you to sleep in the car for a phew hours? Yes I need sleep during the 24...

I think yes because these are outside parkings otherwise sleep next to the track at Arnage for example. :p

Silverstone and Spa races say not a threat, altough Toyota only used x1 '13 spec car in the latter race, but this latest BoP adjustment might complicate things (viewtopic.php?p=686083#p686083).

deggis, you can include Auditv's link to the first post because, at least the world feed stream, should be available, albeit I would prefer their onboards(which were not available so far this year) if I had to choose.

I hope Joest stays the fuck away from his button this year and that Wurz takes home the trophy together with Nakajima and the speedy Lapierre. I like McNish as much as the next guy (although probably not as much as ellis) but I really want to see Toyota win, and win after a cleanly fought race! None of those crazy crashes please.

Assumption or information? At Silverstone and Spa the Audi stream was the fiawec.com Dailymotion stream (just embedded on the page), so if there is no fiawec.com stream, I don't think they will have it either...

Don't care, the GT field is where it's at this year. Great selection of cars.

Last year of Audi? Seriously still can't see two VAG company's racing each other.

The comments that have come from VAG side have said it is ok (can post links too, I've saved many of them), Audi is already designing a 2014 car, if they were planning a "controlled" withdrawal, they probably wouldn't be doing that.

Post subject:  Re: 2013 Le Mans (June 22-23)

Seriously hope so, but I just get to think they will announce the withdrawal when they get another 1-2-3. But then again VAG is probably one of the only company's that is doing aright nowadays so they probably can afford it.
