Here is the car design of the Audis for the Sebring 12 Hours.

It's incredibly frustrating that the WEC and ALMS cars aren't really competing against each other, even if they are in the same class. Bullshit.

PODIUMS: How will the podium procedure work with separate classes for ALMS and FIA WEC?

ELKINS: The podium celebration will be unique as we will present awards for two distinct championships. To begin, we will award the overall podium. This will be comprised of the first three cars across the finish line irrespective of what championship they are competing in. We will then have podium ceremonies for the respective classes and championships: ie LMP1-FIA WEC and then P1-ALMS. We will then have GT-ALMS and then GTE-Pro-FIA WEC and so on (totaling 9 classes). It will be a bit longer of a ceremony but it will be spectacular.

POINTS: How will points be calculated for the ALMS and WEC championships?

ELKINS: Each entrant will receive points in their respective series. So for example, if the No. 1 FIA WEC car wins its class, it will receive 1st place points only in the FIA WEC championship and if the No. 6 ALMS car places second behind the No. 1 FIA WEC, it will receive 1st place points in the ALMS championship and so on.

Looks like Eurosport will be covering the final 2 hours of the race. MotorsTV will have full live coverage, except for 2 hours in the evening when they show the AMA season opener in Daytona live.

Highcroft transporter is in the Sebring paddock. Seems like the DeltaWing is going to do a demo run. They'll be announcing Nissan engines for it too.

I see no difference to last year (ILMC) besides maybe that now the session results (here) have a "WEC" mark next to the WEC entries, but the classes are the same. Thankfully... because every class being split to ALMS and WEC subclasses would be bullshit.

I would rather have just the universal classes LMP1, LMP2, GT, etc, than WEC LMP1, ALMS P1 and so on. More racing, less points calculating.

Karun posted these pictures on his Facebook page.. I know he ain't the best driver on the planet and his F1 career was a bit of a dead end but he did do this.. So I'm always going to support him!
