Well, that pic is certainly impressive. Both Rocky and McNish are incredibly lucky, and Audi must be congratulated on building cars that could withstand those crashes.

So did the Audi roll or just dug into the grass as you can see the dirt on the top of the car?

It got pushed aside by other news so a quick update on Felbermayr Sr's condition: he suffered a broken pelvis, a lung contusion and (possibly a shitload of) bruises and was flown to Austria on Monday in an ambulance jet.

Guess he was one of the guys the Audi drivers drained their luck from.

Also:
* Olivier Panis has declared at the finish that this was his last Le Mans and he'll not be coming back. Apparantely he got too scared due to the big amount of accidents and dangerous driving (might just be an announcement in the heat of the moment, but..)
* Mike Rockenfeller is back home to recover, but Audi does not wish to say anything about his exact condition and/or how he'll be out of contention.
* The Lola-Aston LMP1 (Kronos) ran its last race at Le Mans, and is officially "retired" since Sunday.

Horst is 66 years old, so hopefully things will be alright...I fear we're not going to see him in a car again

I thought it was Christian Reid in the car when that crash happened? :? That's what the commentators were saying.

Yes that what's they said, but the live timing was wrong. From the Felbermayr-Proton PR (in German, but you'll figure it out):
Quote:

In other news.. the "lady" on the left is Roxie Mirandi... she helps to run the FunCup series in the UK with her step dad.. (and arranges my media passes!)
And before anyone asks she's taken, she lives with Jamie Pickford..

He did refer to the accidents in a French interview but he was already talking about retiring before the race (http://www.crash.net/le+mans/news/17008 ... _mans.html). I think you can read between the lines that "I'm getting too old for this and there are other things in life". Autosport: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/92349
