13th & 14th JUNE 2009
24 HEURES DU MANS

This 77th edition of the greatest endurance race in the world will be the first one to use the new ACO rules. These rules will be progressively put into place between 2009 and 2011, with essential directions for the future of the race in terms of sporting equity, safety, reduction in costs and in terms of sustainable development.
More than ever, the 24 Heures du Mans will be in tune with the times. The sport will gain from it, and the show will once again delight and thrill the spectators, the record number of which to beat is 258,500 (2008 figures).
Big news for 2009: A round of the ‘Formula Le Mans’ will open the race.

Peugeot's lineup:

Klien, Lamy, Minassian, Montagny, Sarrazin, Wurz, Gené and Sebastien Bourdais, but the biggest news is:

...David Brabham!

I guess Acura and Peugeot do not see each other so much as rivals then.

2 cars for Sebring, 3 for Spa and 3 for Le Mans. Rest of the year is unknown.

Loving the new livery! 8)

Glad for Brabs, hopefully he'll give that thing a good run... Here's hoping we see him at Le Mans again in 2010 - with an Acura! :D

Nice to see a full time F1 driver driving @ Le Mans. That has been a while back I think.

Hopefully this sets a precedent for current Formula 1 drivers.

Or more likely their lawyers....

I bet most would do it if they were allowed....

Also the thread title has the race taking place on the Wednesday and Thursday of the week....somehow I doubt that!
(Icon in first post has correct date! :p )

Last one actually was Montagny in 2006. But he was only part-time driver for Super Aguri. Last full-time driver? No idea...

Last year there was no clash with F1GP, neither obviously this year. Hopefully this luck continues...

And Bourdais said he would have liked to participate last year too, but there was schedule/contractual issue with that.

That looks like a tasteful car. Looks a bit like the side shot from the Dome S102 in a extremer shape.
