Great to see Peugeot beat the fugly Audi. Audi kinda deserved to have a crappy race for designing such a horrible car.

Not worried to much about Corvette, if the GT2 program is on track it will hopefully make GT as a whole more interesting. Glad to see RIsi win another Lemans. And I would not count out Audi yet, one bad LeMans does not make Peugot domination A given next year.

Peugeot in Le Mans history

The world record of speed in Le Mans
Image
Image
the WM P88 with a Peugeot's engine is the only one car who passes the 400km/h in the Hynaudières
in 1988, Roger Dorchy was showed at 405 km/h during the race
his engine was out later, but we think that this world record can't be change because of the chicanes

This is the third victory for Peugeot. The others victory of this french team were in 1992 and in 1993.
1992 : Derek Warwick/Yannick Dalmas/Mark Blundell
1993 : Geoff Brabham/Éric Hélary/Christophe Bouchut

Was just digging through the thread because I heard the 17 Pesca Pug had a big one, yikes 8O
Thank GOD Treluyer is OK

Congrats to Peugeot, three years to get a victory, just like Bentley. Wondering what they're gonna do next year.
Also amazing how the Audi crew congratulated the Peugeot crew, I wouldn't do that knowing those Frenchies have launched an appeal against your cars lol :p

I think skipping 2010 is an option...

Also Quesnel was reported to say "Peugeot will be at Petit Le Mans and Laguna Seca" during the week. That is little weird if they do not plan to do somethig in 2010.

I watched about 5 hours of the race, seems as though Audi, for the first time really need to work on their car.

Good for the Peugeots 8)

I think skipping 2010 as a works team is the best option for them. Audi did the same in 2004 and 2005 in order to develop the R10 without wasting necessary resources.

Difficult times for Audi to be honest as Peugeot seems to be slightly ahead with a their car. And the concept of the 908 is more than three years old whereas the Audi R15 is brand new.

Oh my god, finally finished it, was on holliday this weekend, had to download and watch the 24h as long as the Nascar races. Spent most of my birthday wednesday on the PC watching the start of the 24h, was so great that I couldn't stop. Only the NNS race remaining, trying to watch it after this, but I've sleept only 1h30 in the last 40.

My first ever full Lemans.

Part of the Pescarolo 908 crash at night was caught on camera.
It's just the scariest thing I've ever seen. He definitely flipped and at some point you can see him maybe 3 meters high off the ground :o

You can hear a French guy in the background saying "the guy is dead, he has to be dead"

Shame no TV cams caught it or it'd be in every crash comp for the next million years.
