I'd write back with a fuck you in her language and attach a dick pick for good measure. Might as well get my money's worth.

Honestly, he should have just soiled himself like a respectable racing driver.

Or, I don't know, go to the toilet instead of pissing in public.

I literally don't understand this situation. It sounds like a top-flight racing series somehow didn't provide toilets near enough to the grid that drivers can use them. Either that, or the driver 100% deserved the fine for behaving like a scumbag in a top-flight racing series.

Peugeot to miss the first WEC rounds including Le Mans...

What a joke this class is turning out to be...

So... The car is slow and doesn't work is what we take from that?

Seen this movie before. Here's looking at you Nissan.

Quote:
Peugeot technical director Olivier Jansonnie explained the decision to postpone the car's competitive bow "will afford us the time we need to achieve the necessary level of reliability" before
the car is effectively frozen by the homologation through 2025.

He added: "This way, our planning will enable us to put the full weight of our teams and resources behind our own test sessions, without the disruption of racing at Spa-Francorchamps and Le Mans.

"Both operationally and from a reliability perspective, Le Mans is the most difficult race on the calendar. We will begin with some shorter races, which will allow us to progressively get up-to-speed in the championship.

"Like with our road-going cars when we have to choose between meeting a deadline or focussing on quality, we always prioritise quality."

Translated from marketese:

"Our car sucks. It's a pseudo-innovative piece of crap we built to gain media attention and attract investors.

Once on the track, we quickly realized it had the cornering speed and stability of a Seat Marbella. We can't be arsed to race it at Sebring or Spa because, in its current state, it would fall at the tail end of the LMP2 field come lap 10.

Please bear with us until we add a proper rear wing and redesign this thing as much as we can, before it gets homologated."

That last line is quite funny: make a blatant weakness look like a strong point, at all costs. Pure marketing.

This is more about the rules rather than how ready the car is. Homologation rules essentially freezes the car spec and then only joker updates and one new homologation are allowed until the end of 2025 (changes to improve reliability can be made if approved without using jokers), so the car needs to be right at the time of homologation.

It is also more like the opposite of Nissan since they rushed the race debut literally with an incomplete car but also the rules were different and allowed free development so it isn't even the same situation.

Yes, but you would expect that a brand with massive Le Mans and endurance experience like Peugeot could at least meet their own scheduled deadlines after launching a "triumphant return" media campaign, with all the customary marketing tropes (teasers, trailers, sibylline announcements etc...). All this without resorting to the "hmmm...sorry, you know, we value quality...like in your road cars...like...hmmm..y'know" argument to hide the fact they're beyond schedule with the project.

How many major motorsports projects are hitting their deadlines at the moment? Nobody will remember the delays if they come out of the gate solid. Everyone will remember them delivering a lemon.
