It does practically set the maximum stint length but in practice stints will probably be 1-2 laps shorter than possible under the megajoule limit. This also effectively equalises fuel efficiency between the engines. Which might be otherwise harder to control with BoP since air restrictors and boost pressure limits are no longer part of it. |
