I know this question will probably be annoying to people who pay a lot more attention to me...but what was the point of changing from LMP1 to GTP/Hypercar when the cars look mostly the same and aren't any faster? |

Cutting costs and attracting new manufacturers. They might look the same, but LMH are way less complex and expensive to develop than the old hybrid LMP1. Not to mention LMDhs/GTPs, which are basically spec chassis with reworked bits and works engines and branding. |
