458's in GTD is silly.
Wouldn't the California make more sense as a GTD car?

TeeVee schedule for the rest of the year: http://www.imsa.com/articles/2014-tudor ... -announced

Given the Sebring coverage debacle it could have been a lot worse, though the fact there is apparently going to be no recording whatsoever of the TUSC PC or CTS Kansas races is pretty rubbish.

I'd rather have no TV coverage, and only IMSA stream frankly. Fox coverage of the Daytona 24 was just abysmal. It was unwatchable commercials.

Is Radio Le Mans also banned from this event?

From what I've read from Hindaugh on Facebook it sounds like they are..and no amount of free publicity would sway IMSA to let them in.

Don't they know that little things like this is the reason why they will never be fully embraced by the sportcars fans?!?

Maybe someone should start a breakaway series. Maybe, for example, they could run LMPs and GTLMs. Without NASCARs involvement. Imagine how good that would be...

Sombody start a new Can-AM Series!!! The current LMP1's are technically in terms of innovation compatible with that. And some real LMP2's and GTPRO's as field fillers.

Funny, Kansas is not listed at all as if the race wouldn't even exist

Andrew Aquilante said on Twitter that with no TV coverage at all he wished the Conti race was going to be at Mid Ohio instead of Kansas because "at least then there would be fans." Can't argue with that - Kansas is one of the worst tracks in the history of the series and the fact there'll only be 5 people there to watch wont help.

Yeaa, it's a terrible track. They chose that shite over Lime Rock?

I'm all for a break away series.

Me too. I wish they would just go the ALMS way and have all the races streamed.

Easy to say wish so from this side of the pond, but for NA (still their core audience) the last ALMS tv deal was horrible. Practically no live coverage at all on actual widely available channels. The free streaming was only a byproduct of that situation.

I feel the same about WEC. I'd rather watch a full race on a decent quality official stream (with good commentary) than watching a partial, delayed or highlights broadcast in HD.
