And so the ALMS dies with a whimper. A P1 class that was a joke for years, a stage-managed P2 class ruined by Tucker's shenanigans, a spec-class IMSA Lite-alike class for businessmen and a Porsche Cup class. If it wasn't for the awesome GT class I doubt I would have followed it this year.

I know it's not popular to say, but I'm going to miss Grand Am more. Hope USCR make some changes and get rid of the moronic proposed 12 car cap on the GT-LM class.

Although the race actually never happened the penalties are already coming
- #1 Audi got an 1 minute time penalty and #7 Toyota is under investigation

Edit:

Blue balls: the drapier rouge edition

Rain this season has been a complete bitch.

It either rains too much so races get cancelled or doesn't rain at all.
The old fashioned dry race gradually getting wet then drying out again seems rarer and rarer these days.

Must be a hell of a pisstake if you were involved in that series though. All the way to Japan. ...all that practice and qualifying and they end up doing less racing here than niki lauda.

A shame the fia has no "race on Monday" proviso or that the Japanese fans are too polite to kick up a fuss about it.

Global warming for you. They say it makes the extremes, more extreme. It doesn't rain a little anymore. Its Noah Ark weather or nothing sadly.

Toyota got a reprimand, win stands. Everyone getting half points is the only fair way if doing it.

Seeing as how Shizuoka-city is one of the wettest locations in Japan it's not surprising that Fuji is frequently too rainy for racing. It's normal.

Looks like nice and sunny weather for Monday...of course!

I wouldn't be happy either if I'd shipped all that equipment half way around the world for a few laps behind the safety car, I'd be even more pissed at the lack of contingency plans to run on the Monday or Tuesday, especially considering the climatic history of the area.

Yep, there's surely going to be some fallout to this farce.
